i was wondering, it is said the dslr has been tested for 150,000 shots durability.. if we've taken 150,000 shots with the camera, what happen next? the camera stops working??

the shutter may not close properly.
Just send for shutter replacement.
not very expensive.
My D3 is rated for 300,000 shots. We'll see how far that takes me.

I would guess the video recording function is exactly the same as with D90 which sucks.
Well..for a free function i don't really care.
Canon is better in this department.

Does anyone here with the D90 face any problems with overheating when performing video recording?

I know the 5D Mk2 faces overheating when shooting video a lot. The video quality degrades (our hot weather doesn't help!)

Yes once your shutter of your camera reaches it's full lifespan, then just get it replaced. You can do it at Nikon for a fee of course.

nothing comes free nowadays.
anyway, how much is the cost to change the shutter? does the price varies based on the body of the camera?

Cost does vary with Nikon bodies. For a D3, this user was quoted RM1798 initially by Nikon Malaysia. But with a final cost of RM1214.

I don't think it's necessary to read the whole manual. I just look up the index if I find something I am not familiar with on the D300.
