Ordered. Feedback, for those up north, managed to save a few hundred $$. But for KL guys, bulk price only slightly cheaper, but not worth it since the shop can provide service. Not taking any more orders.

Hi guys, i just got my Quintet SL speakers, now need to match it with an AVR,

been contemplating between 665 and 1909, n now anthr forumer poisoned me with 2309 suggestion hmm.gif

Can you guys guide a complete novice here icon_question.gif . Btw my usage will be 50:50 (movie:music)

anyway someone mentioned hiway laser is selling marantz sr6003 for only 2.8k so u might want to check it out.

No worry bro. It is just a suggestion bcoz 2.8k for Marantz SR6003 is cheap. Just go with what your pocket comfortable with. I use Yamaha before. It's a good avr but for the price 665 is so not worth it (compare to what 663 was selling back then). So go with Denon 1909 smile.gif

2.8k for SR6003 is darn cheap!!!
maybe you can check out SR5003, if can get at 2.3k also very good price...

Generally, Marantz excels in music / stereo. For movie, AQ is quite good apart from its 'conservatively safe' LFE. It doesn't have the deep impact like Onkyo. Bass is just ample.

I am a Denon erm... fanboy. My AVR-4310 performs excellently.

Thanks for sharing. I like bassy type HT. Guess I will pass up the Marantz. Guess it's between Onkyo and Denon.
