Hi there. Just a quick question. Is there anyway I can tell where the set comes from? e.g. NZ or Singapore or Australia or USA or something? (Not the manufacturing country - This one I know - China, but the unit initially meant for which country.)

i plan to get an iphone 3g this weekend. i have some questions though.

1. do you think a new model will pop out soon? i don't want to buy and then next day 32gb version come out

2. any plans from local telco to bring it over? been hearing rumors for a year already

3. where is the best place to get a white 3g iphone singapore unlocked model? what is the price range?

4. the singapore unlocked model is the easiest to use right? just slot in my maxis simcard and it'd work without hacking the software?

Thats 899AUD for 16gb + $80 unlocking fees. Unless you will be there for 6 months, after this duration you will get this unlocking for free!

Its on the site, not sure if still can buy online.
The optus shops dont do it anymore, sales dude told me that the pre-paid thing ended after xmas. But i see there are ppl on Ebay Australia selling this Optus iphone packages. Luckily i bought mine when optus launched prepaid with iphone. Got it unlocked for free just last week!
