what is the best compact camera this day? i saw new sony TX-model..macam hebat?or shuld i choose canon ixus instead?

whats the cheapest brand new SLR i can get?
the nikon 1 with auto function looks interesting but.. i don't know! some1 just recommend me!
i know shits about photography. just feel like owning 1 slr bcoz every1 has it nowadays!

yesterday when to boeing to check for sony A550 , rock solid but no kit lens , i like the sony A550 very much.
pls recommend which basic lens should couple with for new bie like me .
btw , pls help to compare against Canon 500d , Nikon D5000 .

May I noe where can I get a good deal for Nikon D5000 around KL PJ area? Currently, da price I've gotten is about RM 2750 with body, 18-55 kit lens, 4gb memory card n standard bag. I'm thinking of getting a 6ft tripod n rechargable battery. Any ideas where can I get it cheap n good?

ur budget not enough for 500d... so u only left with 1000d and a230..u might want to see nikon d3000...they all equally good.

I recommend you to purchase the Canon 450D. Wide Angle requires Wide Angle Lens, you have to buy that yourself.

All the accs and such can be gotten easily from camera shops. Strap is included with all DSLR. Tripod some shops give free, but they give an el cheapo brand.. you feel unsafe when you put your DSLR on it due to weight. As for bag, you will get for free.. I haven't heard of a shop not supplying an OEM bag to customers so far.
