Actually which is better DSLR? Nikon or Canon? What is the difference between Nikon D5000 and EOS 450D? What do you all recommend with my budget above? Thanks.

Go for d5000...the noise control is better than 450D. U maybe can top up a little bit more (RM3300) to get a 40d + 1855 lens....40d is much much better. But 40d is phasing out already. Try ur luck to get 1. Canon or Nikon? both equally good...i don wan to comment too much on this.

u have a good budget there.. Skip 500d la... get Nikon D90 or Canon 40d... or top up a bit more to get 50D. However, if u really want the lenses then go ahead with it. But i suggest d90+18105 for just only RM4000 and still can get speedlight sb600. The choice is yours.
