What is the maximum bandwidth usage per-monthly? Like P1 WIMAX only can allow 20GB per-month are useless for most P2P or DDL user.

In the website, it says unlimited usage, and they didn't put any in their faqs. No T&C for us to read.

QUOTE(buysell @ Nov 25 2008, 04:12 PM) What is the maximum bandwidth usage per-monthly? Like P1 WIMAX only can allow 20GB per-month are useless for most P2P or DDL user. I have talked to Amax people, they told me that they have no maximum bandwidth usage per-monthly. Not sure later got or not? QUOTE(yangxi @ Nov 25 2008, 05:35 PM) Amax is under AsiaSpace, this company rent communication towers to maxis, digi, celcom, tm, and many more!!! This company was established longer than Packet one ( P1 ). Since 1996 So, most communication tower On Top of the building that you have seen before belong to Asiaspace QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Nov 25 2008, 08:07 PM) Quite reasonable for me actually, especially the 1.5Mbps, just based on personal experience i found that this package can allow me to download up to 200kb/s, testing using rapidshare and megaupload during Broadband fair! QUOTE(gliew_87 @ Nov 25 2008, 08:10 PM) why alwys alternative wifi or wimax on kl penang and johor de, why alwys no coverage to otehr state and city. so suck... These place has better money to earn as compared to other state, due to the higher population in those states QUOTE(leenux @ Nov 25 2008, 08:13 PM) I read somewhere in the internet. Even though 15th floor, wimax signal is still good. So dude, you gotta understand that Wimax is way far better than 3G connection! QUOTE(MX510 @ Nov 25 2008, 08:14 PM) Maybe, maybe not! Few points to note:
The coverage area is still the same since they are first launched 3 months back. At that time, they actually published the map of the coverage online but they removed it from the website, why? They claim "The amax network will cover the entire Klang Valley by end 2008". One month and counting ... One advantage they have against P1 is that they have USB dongle and the external antenna to boost up the signal SOHO subscriber can enjoy 16Mbps (note they wrote 2MB speed) Application form states if signed are bound to the T&C but there are no T&C given. Suspicious here. |
