auhckw, is the picture better on the tv compared to the laptop? (due to the quality of the capture card)

and,

wasn't there a special connector cable for psp3000 series? (Isn't yours a psp3000 too?) I read somewhere that the wire support for psp3000 and psp2000 are different (as in they use different wires), but I stand corrected if i'm wrong on this.
*

TV and Laptop = Same. Not much different. I don't have a HDTV, only old TV.

On the box, it says only for PSP2000 and won't work for PSP 1000.
Note: For PSP 2000, 3 pin can show the PSP Main menu on the TV but not Games menu (read this from Amazon review). Bit PSP 3000 can work for both.

I have not try the component av cable yet, cause no HDTV sad.gif

ah, I stand corrected then.

Here in my place in Sabah, they're selling the wires for a friggin' RM50. Was about to buy one too..

Even a 8GB MS are sold at RM120 per piece. (can't even identify if it's original or not)

Huhuhu
*

Accessories the shops simply mark up punya.

The price tag on the AV cable (3 pin) is RM129, when asked for discount, they said RM50. I said no, I bought the Component AV (5 pin) cable at RM25, how can this be so much expensive. So they ended up sell me at RM30.

Yes. PSP3k has CFW, but it is not permanent. You have to redo the mod steps everytime after a shutdown.

So if you don't want to repeat the mod steps, just put your PSP into standby.
*

haha.. Cause I thought it have permanent already. My first psp 3k using GEN A firmware while another is m33. I thought already got permanent. hehe

i have a psp 3000 and im doing fine with the none permanent CFW it runs games really nicely it even has the VHS menu (where you select different things like in recovery mode) all you have to do is get ChickHEN R2 and Load custom Firmware GEN-A on it. its easier than eating a muffin but takes time.

and you guys who are saying the psp picture is not sharp on the laptop one reason is that laptop monitors don't have up scaling meaning they show low resolutions like crap try a monitor with HDMI those have really good up scaling the show low resolutions really nice.

i love DJ max if you do too give me five

New PSP2000 and PSP3000 cannot be modded permanent ly. Pirce difference is not much. One seller told me is RM10 diff.

If you want to buy PSP 3000, just make sure the firmware is 5.03 or below, otherwise you cannot install custom firmware.

PSP one? Apa tu? Are you referring to PSP Go? If PSP Go, it has no UMD disk, and we wouldn't know whether it can install custom firmware or not yet.

If you wan hassle free and don't mind used sets, just buy old PSP2000 units.

Just reminder, new PSP 2000 also cannot install homebrew ya. The problem is same as new PSP 3000, so if you go for PSP2000, go for old units.

Well, if you can wait for PSP Go due to release October, then wait and see. But you have to know that there may be few more months of waiting before ppl out there can find ways to hack it.

Price for PSP Go is higher, slightly smaller screen, higher processor but cap to the same speed as PSP 3000 when they initial release it.

Personally I would prefer PSP3000 look and feel than PSP Go. I don't like the push up thingi on PSP Go.

if you can wait for the psp go wait and i will tell you it comes out in august but it usually takes a year and 2 month for any new psp to get hacked but the pros and cons of the psp go are

pros:
* SMALLER and lighter
* has a 480 mega hertz cpu
* screen is sharper
* has blue tooth
* has 16gb onboard and you can add like 32gb to it

cons
* smaller scree
* placing of the buttons im not really happy about
* gotta wait a year for it to be hacked

i my self couldn't wait for the new one so i bought a 3000 1 month ago hoping it would be hacked soon and it was hacked just couple of weeks ago lucky for me and im pretty happy with it reaaally happy actually. screen is nice i love the pearl white and the CFW is cool but time consuming but no worries
