i wonder how this product do in downloading?
since long ago, we have bitcomet, bittorrent, IDM, flashget bla bla bla to enhance the download speed. without this softwares. the download speed really sucks...

with this NAS (which IMHO, is a great product), can it download full speed?

i was wondering the same thing, since we are throttled by our isp, right now our only option is vpn but will this hardware bypass the throttling?

if it can bypass tm nut throttle then this will be "hotcake" device.

10units already sold out. no any one wan sharing usage of this enclousre ?

problems with this device:-
-no http/ftp client download feature (how come u said got?)
-cannot change the BT port (default to port no. 6881) and upload limit bcos the Apply button doesnt work
-BT can only run in DHT(maybe bcos the trackers block this unknown client software), dl speed extremely slow (the most i got was 4KB/s, maybe bcos streamyx cap the port 6881)

now the only hope is if can update the firmware, any latest firmware for it?

- was expecting to download from http , but no such feature .. kinda dissappointment
- not able to chg bt port and upload limit ( the apply button is dummy button, no function 1 ... got this from the html code )
- speed download per torrent only 4KB/s
- max concurrent download only 4, the 5th torrent will be on waiting state ...
- this morning i cant open the webpage, got rebooted the device ... not sure if it get overheated ... any log to monitor ?
- hv just manually forwarded the bt port, will monitor if the speed get better

do let me know also if got new firmware ...

all the problem will be solve in latest firmware that wil released end of this month. any problem can let me know asap so i wil suggest china side there do the firmware for this.

I already told them to make the firmware to support FTP/HTTP download using the enclosure, BT port,Upload/Download Limit, Limit of the downloading files

any suggestion then let me know asap tq

And Can I save the content direct to external HDD instead if I have Western Digital MyBookWorld II?

at the moment this one only can save to HDD inside the enclosure
latest firmware will make the enclosure can save the files into the USB devices

- anyone has their torrent connected to tracker ??? can this be fixed in new firmware ???
- does torrent support encryption ?
- improve stability of the device ... i rebooted 2 times today, both bcos i cannot access the webpage ...
- extra request ... is it possible also include a small webserver serving static page ???

i think u should chek ur router. i have no problem running the torrent enclosure for 3 days 2 night. and no problem enter the setting page.

- when u show detail on torrent, there is a label called tracker which is always blank in my case. meaning it cannot connect to tracker

- yes ... just happen again, 3rd time for today. i am not able to login to the setting webpage . will chk on my router setting.

Just brought NAS from zhen^wei yesterday. Setup and running BT. Try out single torrent dl and can get around 80-98KB/s. ( I m using maxis line and don't have cap problem) But the BT configure is not functioning. The BT should need to improve alot. The best if it can example Utorrent. If it have Utorrent code, I think using TMNUT should be fast. Will tryout on TMNUT in my office later and see what is the speed. I m not sure I can dl HD1080p movie since it format to FAT32. Will try it out later.
The casing is quite hot and act as a heatsink for the HDD. So far no hanging problem here. Others meet my requirement as backup, ftp and samba.

Some snapshot currently dl. Total 3 dl, 1 run max, 1 run so so and 1 not move at all.


Compare to Utorrent dl. Strange, the torrent won't start in NAS BT but running no problem in Utorrent.

Can you suggest to the China dev team to include the "encrypt mode" in the BitTorrent client, which is widely available in Xunlei, utorrent.

wut? no ftp/http support...hmm..nvm, will wait till end of month to check the latest firmware...
