How Upgrade WEB Version W1.17 to W1.23?
I uploaded firmware from v1.50a to v1.52c and next v1.54a.
If I enter to (System Information) "Firmware Version = R3282-1.54a W1.17"

Someone can help me?

From the firmware 1.54a changelog, we can read that Web GUI was updated from 1.17 to 1.22 by firmware 1.53a, and then to 1.23 by firmware 1.54a.


Unfortunately, we can't find any 1.53a firmware to download from the usual sources, and all the latest available firmware updates were only KERNEL releases, which seems to lack the Web part.

Looks like we missed an important update here, especially for the BT client.

Just receive the unit today. Test it out But there's a problem.

Here are the problem.

Facts of the unit connected
-The NAS is connected to my new SATA 3.5 inch 500gb Western Digital. Tested fine with my other External casing.
-the NAS running on DHCP which ip are 169.254.0.1 subnet 255.255.255.0
-Using notebook with auto dhcp ip is 169.254.0.2 subnet 255.255.255.0
-After starting up the NAS, using command prompt to notebook to ping 169.254.0.1 -t (continuesly). Got reply. TTL as usual.
-Using internet explorer type 169.254.0.1 and prompt for password and username.
-type user "admin" and password "admin"
-In the menu "Disk utility" format the hard disk.
THEN.. the connection die. no reply.
-Turn off and wait 5 second turn on the NAS. The NAS ip is up.
- Under Media server enable video and pictures enable.
- Go to SMB server create user and modify to add the user for that particular folder.Public etc.
-AGAIN the NAS die with no reply on ping.

Wonder if my hard disk got problem.
-turn on the NAS but this time no network connected.
-Attach the USB cable and connect to notebook.
-notebook detect as USB drive.
- Under windows xp DISK MANAGEMENT format the Hard disk using NTFS.
-MANAGE to format.... Copy file over 4gb and moving the files back to notebook with no problem.
I guess at this status it mean the hard disk is working running on USB environment.

AGAIN i test the NAS and do everything again. But still the connection suddenly die. Firmware as you updated it 1.54a.

I probably Could drop off at you office just to show you this problem as seem the NAS isn't working as I thought it would be. Believe me.. This has really got me "One Of THOSE days" I have tried going through the manual throughly until I could even memories the Menu in the NAS.

Thing for sure.
1. The new Hard disk 500gb working in USB environment on NAS and even with other external casing.
2. Not even a file is being copied in the network environment.
3. LED light beside the power connected always show red light and orange. Except in USB it show green. But when got activity it blink between green and orange.

Can I come over and test it at your shop. As I need it quite badly as soon as possible.

Came over to Ideal trading. Get money back due to faulty NAS. No question asked. Just unlucky unit I get.
Anyway, definitely will do trade again with them.
