I didnt like the scene because 1) it didnt linger long enough and 2) the bad CGI

At the beginning of the show,you would have remembered that the BF put a coin into another similar looking envelope.Thats the envelope she put into that OLD WOMAN mouth!

anyway no la, i don have night mare wen i sleep or while c this show. i usually have dream about real life situation and characters :/ its just that i cover my eyes and close my ears just in standby mode. haha..

yup dont tink so some ppl r scared. i even heard a kid crying in the cinema. i dont know how in the first place the kid can go in. if im scared, i don noe how about the kid. poor thing. but sometimes its quite laughable also, after the movie la. hahaha.

i think ur thinking too much lols..oo the envelope she stuff into the old lady mouth at the grave is actually an old coin that belongs to her bf. cs at the scene where the guy almost banged an old man, the button in the envelope dropped out. she mistaken it and din check the content ma.

haha i thought she was going to give the button to her bf at first. but imagine if the bf have the button. then inocent live would be sacrificedd.....

Watching movie in cinema basically I don't care much about the story, I will be satisfied if the action is great

I guess one have to go back to the roots of Sam Raimi to fully appreciate Drag Me To Hell. For me, it was an amazing experience. The movie had lots of ups and downs, mostly ups especially the beginning and the excellently crafted ending. I saw it coming but the way Raimi executed it was deft. I understand where some of you are coming from with the "funny" scenes but I felt Raimi is paying homage to the evil dead series, especially the 2nd one - the mass swirling of objects, the quirky fonts, the music, the goggling eyes. But essentially, it is a horror film and it was a good one. The horror - well sustained. Spookiness level at the top and when it comes at you, it really comes. This is surprisingly one of the best movies I've seen this year. A solid 4/5.

This is more like a horror movie meant to entertain rather than scare. And it did just that. Can't remember when was the last time I saw these type of movies (Army of Darkness probably)but its good to see one for a change. Those random and stupid moments were executed quite well. And thats one hell of an epic ending.

watching this movie makes me having a nostalgia moment when watching evil dead series years back. sam raimi really put the classic evil dead style production on the movie. let's see what i can remember:

- sam raimi really likes to make possessed animals (seems like he likes goat a lot, remember the laughing animal heads in evil dead?)

- the laughter of the unrested souls in drag me to hell is the same style of laughing like the animal heads in evil dead

- seems like sam raimi likes to make jokes with something to do with mouths (just like army of darkness where little ash dives into ash's mouth)

- the no music sound during the suspense part is the same style used in evil dead 1 & 2.

- sam will not show how does the monsters looked like (in other words the devil). instead, he will make possessed human or things that changes into a freaky zombie looking pricks. (the only monster he had done are the freaking skeleton army and the the necromonicon's face?)

- cheap scares is sam rami's favourite. drag me to hell scares can is almost the same as evil dead's scene at the basement.

anyways, i rate this movie a 4/5. i would give it a perfect score if the plot is better and if the ending is not expected by the audience.

btw, i think the best part is where christine digs the dead woman's grave. The effects are the best and when she was looking at the woman, i was going. wow!

So it's 2:1 in favor of DMTH.

That Mt doesn't seem that high anymore.

but is damn scary, i have to admit 40% of the movie i use both palm cover my own face.

There's still burgaflippinman! though I doubt he'll rate in my favour....

I like the ending too. The twist was predictable (or half-predictable anyway, since I expected someone else to die), but it was fun seeing the characters themselves being surprised.

Yea, Justin Long's face at the end summed it all.

i think they aren't used to the horror-comedy genre of movie

come on man, im not fancy in this type of movie okay.

but its nice.

So gonna watch this. Rave reviews. Metacritic score is really good. Sam Raimi returns!
