I am unable to understand what you're trying to say. Ports are opened but firewalled in servers side. Torrent programs may show that the port is partially opened or closed but that is not an issue as peers will be able to connect to you without any problem just like as if the port is fully open. No providers will open a port without firewalling it as it may lead to abuse attacks on the server. Perhaps you can try to find another provider who don't firewall their ports.

And yes this is a full route vpn, and not socks. I have no idea where you've got this "but now I realise you just mean it's not socks". Perhaps you're confused with some other provider or so.
*

Actually many providers have no problems opening or more accurately forwarding ports on request. It only opens the server for limited abuse (really DOS is the only feasible abuse) since ultimately the port is forwarded so unless the server is rather buggy it's not going to negatively affect the server. The client of course opens themselves up for abuse via these forwarded ports but that's the clients choice since they're the ones who asked for the port to be forwarded. Obviously it does cause problems if you are trying to support too many clients behind a single IP but this is likely to be problematic for other reasons too and I doubt it's a problem in your case.

Also it's not correct that having a closed port is not a problem. If the port is closed there no way someone can reach you unless you have previously contacted them. This is particularly a problem with eMule and also it means port mode FTP is impossible (which may be necessary if the ftp server itself is behind a restrictive NAT) but even with most torrent apps it's a problem to some extent and will result in reduced download speeds (depending on other clients, particularly with DHT). It's also obviously a problem if you want do use a webui, P2P remote control, telnet, SSH, remote desktop, or any other server on your computer behind the VPN.

And yes, I disagree it's a full route VPN (or at least a full route internet connected VPN). I appreciate the term 'full route' is not such a common one particularly in VPNs so you can arguably invent whatever use of it you want but to me, if you say something is full route this implies end to end connectivity. Think of it this way. It's not possible to reach me (unless you've previously contacted me so are in the NAT table) because I don't have a dedicated public IP. When you use proper internet VPNs which provide a dedicated public IP like Relakks (which I used to use and worked well), you have end to end connectivity and therefore I would say real full routing as you can reach people and people can reach you, the way the internet was meant to be. What you are doing instead is NAT which I would say is not a full route VPN as you do not have end to end connectivity, only my traffic is guaranteed to reach the internet, any traffic from the internet intending to reach me is not guaranteed to reach me if it reaches your server because your server may not know what to do with it i.e. traffic may not be routed to me as there's no dedicated route to me. Of course you could do a full cone NAT which is NAT and you could argue that is full routing but that would still require a public IP for each client which I'm guessing you don't have.

I now presume by full route VPN what you mean is that all traffic is routed over the VPN. I.E. it is not SOCKS/proxies as some Malaysian providers misleading call SOCKS/proxies as VPN. But this is misleading as SOCKs & proxices are generally by no means a VPN and in fact all internet connected VPNs should generally should route all traffic over VPNs (well it does depend on the client OS but that's still the case with your VPN anyway). (Well I guess we could argue about something like SSL VPN but that's not something you're likely to find)

Anyway I'm partially at fault here for not more carefully reading about what was being offered. I knew that the sellers in lowyat like to use terms in ways that can be misleading or doesn't agree with common or sensible usage and looking back at other lowyat providers you're by no means the only one using the term in that way. But somehow I forgot to investigate more thoroughly. So I'm not going to argue anymore but I'll just give the service a try. I'm not expecting it to go well unless you agree to start forwarding ports but oh well at least I didn't pay for 3 months and even if the service is not what I want you yourself have been a pleasure to deal with.

But sadly looks like the foreign VPN providers are still offering better service the same or lower price then the Malaysians :-(

Possibly routing issue from streamyx. Change your ip and try again. This might be a problem for newbies as they don't know what to do. It could aslo be the settings of your torrent client. Perhaps your tcp/ip max connection is limited. If possible, MSN me and i'll provide you with some troubleshooting steps to see what is wrong.

Our ports are not closed. They are firewalled. The firewall enables peers and seeders to get to you while DHT has no problems whatsoever. Look at the 2 screenshots below.

(Connected to the Canada VPN + Streamyx ip range: 118.100.xx.xx)

1 is from a private tracker with DHT Disabled (Utorrent) *click on the thumbnail to see the full picture*

and

1 is from a public tracker with DHT Enabled (Bitcomet) *click on the thumbnail to see the full picture*

user posted image

Likewise, peers and seeders (including those from DHT) are able to connect to me without problem. That is because the ports are not closed but firewalled.

And this service is mostly for web browsing, online videos and also torrents. Emule is not fully supported as we have not mentioned any instance of it. *Emule users would usually ask us beforehand if they could use the service*. Yes, they are able to use the service however , they'll be flagged with "Low ID".

Thank you very much for trying it out. Have a nice day.

@MyP2PCafe

I think Ive been cursed with 115 range. I can hardly browse US sites these days due to massive packet loss, connection to Europe is fine though

Can I get a trial for your socks 5 proxy? PM me the details. If it's good, I will seriously consider to buy it
