But it doesn't really matter if I going to change or not since there are only some new feature add in there and remove my lovely slot 2 tongue.gif

I like slot 2 more than camera tongue.gif
Btw, do hope the D-pad and button plus L & R have some improvement > < Then I might consider one

very soon they'll come out with MOARRR colors laugh.gif

hmmm is our DS Lite going to be discontinued?

Likely so, Nintendo seems to be pushing their online service for now, unless DS and DSL users get a firmware update biggrin.gif

IMO, DSL should get a year or two more before it's discontinued.....DSi can't really replace DSL as mentioned on the thread.

i mean the picture gallery bla bla bla-perhaps the picture can be transfered over from one platform to the other??
3mp seems decent quality to me-but dont really no wats the necessity of it being included in DSi

Just a guess, but probably not. With all the work involved just to re-flash a DS or DSL and their small capacity flash chips, chances it's not going to happen at all.

In terms of hardware, we still don't know much about what the DSi has to offer. There's definitely extra RAM and storage, just how much is there?

Well. Just a hunch and random theory. Maybe they could use the download play function? Connect to the Wii or WiFi and download the update. I think its possible, make the update something like the demos. Wont stay on your DS. Disappear when you turn off your DS.

Hmm, never thought of that. biggrin.gif

Technically it is possible that the update could be delivered to users via Download Play, but it'll only have access to a portion of the firmware, not all of it. Unless Nintendo is able to develop some compression system that'll fit everything into that portion, and NDSi users being able to download stuff from them which is a selling point for the NDSi, it won't work. Where would we DS and DSL users store our DSWares anyway laugh.gif

It's not about the game, but the console itself. smile.gif

Definitely would, no doubt about that, maybe apart from a few games.

If that happens, then the previous console owners will just need to wait for some 'unauthorized development'. It is already possible to emulate the current DSL firmware on an emulator.

Also, if DSVision users are already able to download content, why need a NDSi? There should be something that separates the both of them, maybe different downloadable content, I suppose.

DSVision only offers contents like movies and comics. Not the DSWare. Guess that already sets them apart.

I dont think they'll continue manufacturing the DSL since the flash cart are on rampant right now. Maybe their motive behind this new DSI release is to stop the use of flash cart, who knows?

Perhaps so, but seeing that DSL has the Slot 2 and DSi doesn't (and as I mentioned, some games use the Slot 2)....they might just keep the DSL going for just a while longer.

Ah. They changed the volume button. Not that i care. But did they change the brightness to be like the PSP? I hate not being able to change the brightness during games.

One things i like to know is why all the companies add the letter 'i' to their products to make it cool?

at least they added it to the end rather than the head.
Imagine. iDS. heh.

I think that many of the extensions that tried to use the GBA slot aren't "must have". Its an interesting direction for the DS.
Its kinda interesting tho, essentially, minus the camera and double touch screen, the DSi feels like nintendo's way of trying to venturing into portable applications, the realm of homebrew.
