Oh and the focal length is adjustable by rotating the thing on the lense is it?

I thought that rotating thing was for manual focus
how do u manual focus then? hmm.gif

sorry, dun want to look too dumb when I actually get to try it laugh.gif
*

There is a switch on the lens for you to switch between AF (auto focus) or MF (manual focus)

MF can be done by adjusting the ring on the lens.

hmm so,
there are two rings on the lens barrel
one for adjusting focus and one for the focal length
is it true?

yes right , which is the 18-55mm kit lens the ring [ rubber pads grip ] is the focal length, and one ring [plastic] at the end to adjust focus [ you see it moves when it is on AF ] but unlike other $$ lenses they have a better focusing ring with a grip [ like you see those EF 17-40 L or others ]

correct, but fixed focal length lens like 50mm f1.8 will only have 1 ring only because they can't zoom.

ur video jerky coz youtube has converted ur video into flash, and the frame rate as well. IINM ur video must have had slower frame rate compared to youtube's default, hence the jerk. try search in their help section on this.

this is from what i know la. nice vids, onli one comment: the song, my valentine, has been used too many times by everyone biggrin.gif

i dun have the plugin but try dload the youtube n see what is their frame rate wink.gif

Thanks for the feedback. I think I will have a look and see. I used Microsoft Photo Story to do it and thus, not sure what the frame rate it choses and what's the difference with youtube. Kinda Sucky actually that it jerks like that.

I found another nicer song - Ben Folds Five - The Luckiest.

I will try it again, but this time I will change the pictures to only those which I've processed into a kinda "old" feel ones.

BTW, guys, I've uploaded a few pics 23pics (took ~250 in total)

http://www.flickr.com/photos/lotso/sets/72157607659807233/

Let me know what you think.

I was just talking to me "whom must be obeyed" on my shooting style based on tytons comments that I missed out on the 'open car door' as well as the pranks and the tea ceremony.

This is what I told her,

1) I'm not getting paid for this.
2) Because of #1, the only person I have to please is myself hence, I will shoot what I like to shoot. :-) eg: BodyParts!!
3) I don't like those pranks. Kinda makes me pissed off at the stupid games.
4) Since I'm not Official Photographer, and I need to get out of the his/her way. (I was nicely "warned" with -> You have zoom lens? The room kinda small, can use use your zoom lens to shoot? Hint! Hint!! :-) LOL

I'm cool with that as #1 rules!

But, if I AM getting paid, It will be my mission to stay the whole duration and shoot everything as that is "expected".

heh, during the shoot, I actually ignored the pranks and only shot like couple of the tea ceremony and then I ta-pau. Later at the Church, after the walk-in to the alter, I also Cabut go home sleep :-)

Later dinner, I only shot <20 shots then I also ta-pau.

kaka...

PS : thinking about it, if really want to shoot these sort of events, I think 2 things is needed at a minimum

1) 2 Bodies to minimise lens changing. 1 with medium zoom and another with wide-angle

or

2) 1x FF body so that can just use the 24-70 itself and not have issue with crop factor

LOL.. (Both #1 and #2 will have to wait long long lah!!)

hehe, but i'm aware ah, different ppl different taste n style. i just humbly give opinion based on how i would have done it. leg to head will emphasize the subjects faces while head to leg somehow feel like a bit erm, anti-climax, if u get what i mean smile.gif. a little foreplay, should i say? haha.

depending on the content, not all pics need to use the same transition effect. even 2 pics can share the same zooming in effect, meaning, while zooming into the shoe for example, the continuation of the transition can be used with another pic, hence it avoids having too many transitions (which sometimes can be tiring). while maintaining movement/motion, a smooth transition hence can be achieved

Being the 1st time I play with the software, I just Kasi Hantam only.

As I make more and more of these, I doubt I will ever fiddle with so many of them transitions :-)

Don't worry, I appreciate the C&C. (esp the critique because I will learn from it. Else I might as well ta-pau and sell my camera)

LOL!
