anyone know how much is the normal hoya cpl and uv selling in the market?

Note : not the PRO1D.. just normal standard hoya CPL

Normal Hoya HMC UV filter is about RM130. Kenko's UV filter is about RM30
No idea about the CPL, but i'm interested in CPL too.

yeah this works!
I'm also using this DIY method to store my gears currently
I would say this is a must. One more thing if can get those container that has cover to it so your thirsty hyppo will collect humid only from the container and not the whole room!

hmm kinda hard to fit your budget at 3k or more bit even if you take out the 18-55 IS kitlens and try to get new lens
If you check most of the canon owners and their gears here, you can roughly do a summary which one they are aiming for actually.. i did this before
It also depends on what style of shooting you are more into.. portrait/wide angle or telezoom?
My best bet for upgrade would be the tammy SP AF 17-50mm F2.8 XR Di II or Siggy 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC
both these 2 lenses are almost the same range of price but if compared to the kitlens that already comes with it, i have no idea
I heard some good comments about the kitlens from some frens for its price
But really, I kinda regret getting the kitlens 18-55 Non-IS bundle with my 400D last time.. those who are serious would usually upgrade to others in future..
It's good that you try to change the lens to others, try get more discount from him if can as u buy in bundle, but kinda hard to fit into your budget unless you squeeze more or just get the kitlens first, then upgrade
But this is just what I think lah, others may give u other advise as well icon_rolleyes.gif

2)Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG Macro
3)Canon EF 75-300mm F4-5.6 III USM

I'm using the sigma and right now its front focusing on my body. And IS is a very useful feature to have, though not a must. smile.gif

tytons : Great looking river. Now to answer your question. I don't mind the wb settings because I still shoot raw in any case. (Also the reason why I'm a bit slow to post/process my pics)

The better camera (40D) will have better WB adjustments in terms of in camera tweakings, but ultimately, if you shoot RAW, not much use I would say.

Go Flickr Pro? next? next? Next? from what i see, if go pro also will have to click next/next/next right? Is there another way? I honestly do not know there is a difference with normal acc and pro acc. Is there?

if u get pro u can organize ur pics in sets/collections ma..so no need click next. plus u get to display more then 200 pics.n the rest stated by vincent

i think its quite ok..considering that day canon shop in LYP quoted me 4.9 with kitlens (18-200) quite heavy tho the lens..heavier then my 55-250 i wish i could try it.
