My laptop seems to be working just fine the day before. However, when i wanted to use it at night, the keypad seemed to malfunction. Mouse is working fine and keypad is too as i just found out it still is working when i happened to get to the setup page.

The thing is, when i get to the log in page(u know the blue page), i cant seem to type my password. The keyboard doesn't work.

Does anyone know how i can deal with this frustration?

Btw, laptop's model is Acer TravelMate 4021NWLMi (Acer TravelMate 4020)
Thank you!

From my experience, it seem like the O/S problems, running WinXP? try loaded it with the [Last Known Good Configuration]; if it does not work, try run into the SafeMode see the keyboard can function or not, if still having the same problem, then maybe try [Repair] the WinXP.

Then you need to get the CD.

Worst case, reformat, which also need the CD.

try to go-in "Safe Mode", remove your keyboard driver, then restart.

let system to detect your keyboard originally. hope this can solve your issue.

Like what Omage007 said in the previous post, just get a CD and choose Repair.
It should be able to fix the problem.
Good luck dude ~
