hi guys

i'm also using 4850GS (older batch). Been experiencing the blackout problem on games like crysis and devil may cry with 4x AA, otherwise it is problem free.


Recently tested it out with furmark MSAA x 8 , blackout appear after 4 min of stressing .. then the screen comes back after a few second and everything goes fine after that.

so i'm wondering is it possible to exchange the card 1 to 1 with netraid ? btw i purchase the card from moderno on 15 of august.


if its possible i wonder when the program ends ? because i'm living in melaka and final is around the corner so i counlt send the gc by courier as i've need to use the pc during this period.

so guys please give comment on wheter i shud exchange the card or stay with this 1 as the problem isnt really serious.

Default OC and the game runs smoothly (just sangkut very the skit2 je nvm).. 1280x960 with all the highest setting available.. I mean enthusiast.. Damn good graphic.. I tried to print screen but unsuccessful.. Anyway this card is really good.. Mine is the older batch but by far, no faulty encountered.. Hope that it will last longer..

Your furmark testing only happena after 4 minutes then no problem at all already? Mine once the blackscreen comes, it will keep coming until it finally crashes ((.

sorry i mean i cannot send it before the final is over. nid da com to study ma ...

ya for the furmark the black screen will only appear on the first few minute when the temperature hit 67-68.. after that the screen comes back and everything goes normal.

but if the black screen occur during gaming, it will keep coming but it wont crash . Then if i pause the game and let the gpu temp drop a lil bit, then i can continue playing untill the black screen appear again.

bro,send it to netraid asap then ..i will try and lend u my spare 3450 card ...as for the new batch..i think there is no visible appearance but u can reassure that the new card u get is the new batch

YES guys, it is nickel plated, same like Gainward 4870 GS. We already said the latest Gainward 4850 GS is an IMPROVED version, cooler and faster.

As long no blackscreen is alright already. See the how the card looks like, the heatpipe color especially, if it is nickel plated then confirm new batch.

test it kaw kaw then u know whether it got problem or not.

pm him la! ... .i think teck one is new

it is in silver color. So i believe is new batch....hehe

theres another way to know.

the new batch with nickel plated heatpipe is 10degrees colder during idle (around 48-50C)

omigod.. exchange program untill 15 oct.. my final untill 18 oct

seems like have to think of other option ..

just bring the card alone to exchange or have to bring the full box including the driver and converter?

4850GS with nickel plated heatpipes is sexay xD few days no GC nvmind one =X take it as time to pia study . Unless you're IT based or something.. need use computer alot..then ouch..

but my mobo don hav build in gc .. so no gc means no com... i nid it to read da slides

so my only option now is go to netraid office directly and exchange the card. Aik ... susah ..
