Giliran Y-MAX semarakkan dunia WiMax tempatan

Exactly the same article, only in different language? Not much press release other than this. What took YTL so long to plan a pre-release and it's only available in Bukit Bintang, I wonder why they choose that place. It's either they have some great strategies in their pockets or they are just ignorant about their competitors moves.

P1 certainly seems like making more efforts. But we'll see who's the eventual winner. Maybe a classic TM vs Jaring scenario at the end of the day?

I believe YTL-E WiMAX and Airzed WiMAX are the same thing. Please refer to Airzed website for their WiMAX service as Airzed is a company under YTL-E.

The reason why Bukit Bintang is selected probably because YTL has a lot of building around that area making their site acquisition as easy as ABC. Not to mention, their office at Lot 10 ... ehehehe ...

Airzed wimax: RM188/month for 1024/128. Really slow upload! Will they get any customers at that price? Do they want any customers?

Yeah, the price is a turn off, and slow upload will not do any favor in helping them to land geeky customers.

For this much can get streamyx 4mb already. Do they really think wireless mobility is that great that people would pay a lot of money for it rolleyes.gif ??

Wired is better then wireless anytime of the day no matter who says otherwise. Even when networking at home, wireless can never beat wired in terms of performance. The only reason people would use wireless is for the convenience, usually newbies rely on wireless a lot because they don't appreciate the performance that wired offers sweat.gif

Even though i got a wireless router at home, i use an eletrical Ethernet homeplug instead which has much faster speed and can also offer me the advantage of mobility as long as there is a power socket close by nod.gif

So what exactly is YTL offering in their 1mb package compared to Tmnut 1mb ? nevermind their other packages. Are they guranteeing no throttling and unlimited bandwidth ? If not, they must be dreaming if any sensible person would want to pay more for less rolleyes.gif

Everybody knows tmnut sux, but at least its cheaper and better then the competitors so far WHICH is a sad thing for the state of our broadband in the country ......... vmad.gif

Agree with your opinion, maybe they target at the town area for getting more $.

But, 2MB 512kb RM669 per month for personal use are not recomended.

maybe rich people may use it.

I assum that less people use, fast respond time, no limited bandwith (assum only) [Due to expensive]

maybe this company didn't get the intel fund?

Anyway, Bukit Bintang only hotel and shopping complex many. the 1 resident place near bukit bintang only hang tua. sweat.gif

Streamyx Corperate SOHO SDSL 1.5m UP, 1.5m Down cost RM1024 will be more worth?
(customer service few hour respond, less downtime, no limit = RM1024)

RM699? business? rclxms.gif

Any opinion about how they making $? tongue.gif

Intel Fund is only RM50 million, it's a small amount for YTL corporation.

I believe they are waiting for Xohm to see how Sprint runs their business ... it's better to follow the successful model than taking the lead into the black hole.
