many of my site also got PR dropped although traffic and alexa has risen for few of them.

traffic have no relation with PR

I agree with lifeplayer, traffic has no relation with PR. PR started being seen as not so important (as told by Matt Cutts, the Google Quality Control guy) about 2 years ago which is why some of you may have seen a decrease.

Once again, I want to put emphasis that your Google PR is not the only method of calculating your ranking on the search engines. Right now, I would say Google PR is a really a minor issue. Things like TrustRank (which I think I mentioned before in this thread) are increasingly important.

Concentrate on having better quality content instead of how many links are going back to you. Think about it - if people like your website, they are more likely to link back to you than if your website is awful.

actually traffic does have relation with PR, but its rather indirect..
you know when your site got traffic.. ppl intend to bookmark(browser or socialbookmak site) your site.. and many of them also might add your site to their blogroll..
I know because I behave like that and some of mysite also being treated like that

well if they add you to their blog roll they are backlinking to you... of course your site has to have traffic - they won't select a random blog like www.xyzksdfjad.blog.com to their blog roll... you would only link back to a blog that you enjoy reading that has quality content

i believe what lifeplayer is talking about is that PR is not increased only by the amount of traffic you have. if all links remain the same 1 year from now, the only increase in PR you may get is if the websites linking back to you also increase in their PR

PR 1-3 is considered so-so only.... maybe some people love to compare their sites with PR....

so they strive to get the highest PR.

PR not related with traffic at all.

actually... it does have... but not direct relation...

in somewhat traffic will help boost PR...

higher traffic - more people link - somehow here and there it will relate to your PR and help boost ur PR

again PR is about links. you have traffic, means more people. and more chances of people liking your site and linking to it and that it's it. it's the link that contributes to PR.

if we go by that flawed logic
1. internet connection contributes to PR
2. web browser contributes to PR
3. people give birth to kids and teach them how to use internet also contributes to PR
4. without electricity, people can't visit your site and link to it.
5. without having a website, they can't give you a linkback.

blablablbala.....

in short, PR was never about traffic. PR has always been about link.

so please, let's educate people properly about PR. traffic and PR were never related.

such well-known site also never state such nonsense thing about INDIRECT relation. because to state 1 indirect relation then we have SO MANY other indirect relations.

Check Johnchow.com, one of the most wellknown blogger's blog. It have more than millions visitor per day and it PR was only 3.

Is there any pagerank update? I saw that ahmike's blog got Pagerank drop from PR3 to PR2. All my blogs still maintain the same, I hope I got some pagerank increase in some of my blogs especially my main blog (PR3), hope to get PR4 haha!

AFAIK... only my alexa rank moving.... from 1.9 mil now go up to 2.445 mil

yea the friggin bug came back .. cannot publish new post or watsoever... so i using the same technique i used last time to try make the bug go away
