yes that is correct. The Intel X3100 is just a video card for the sake of displaying the onscreen stuff. It's not powerful enough for decent gaming.

X3100 = nvidia 6150 range.

X4500 = nvidia 8200 or 9100 range or ATi 2400 range.

the best onboard video that can be had now is the ATi HD3200. Its slightly worse compared to a 8400GS but costs a lot cheaper.

Its Dx10.1 and has SM4.0. Can play recent games on low to medium settings res between 800*600 to 1024*600. Pretty impressive for a built in video card.

I'm running the HD3200 and I can play:

Serious Sam 2 @ 1280*800 everything full except AA
Gears of War 1024*600 medium
CoD2 800*600 medium
CoD4 800*600 medium
NFS:PS 640*480 low
GRiD 640*480 low
Unreal Tournament 3 800*600 low

wats do u plan to use for?u like gaming? any1 of it also can game! u wan jus for fun, u see which 1 has a nicer built up. for me, i game abit n play2 abit, n i like the design, i jus take acer
