well, not satisfied i removed my mobo and hsf and cleaned the proc and hsf and reapplied the tim and reattach again for the third time! wasted alot of facial tissue and tim and my time. and the result it still the same, the 5 degrees difference is still there.

anyway done a stress test last night.

arct / xigmatek sd-964 / tuniq tx2 / intel e8600 E0 @ 4.05Ghz(450x9) (21.5% overclock) / vcore 1.26v / xigmatek stock 92mm fan and nmb 92mm (push-pull config) / idle: 44/38C / load: 63/58C / non-AirCond / OCCT V2.0.1

the proc temp is somewhat the same as my previous oc on e6750 when its suppose to be lower, plus my mobo temp is higher than before too. i guess this is due to my long gpu blocking and heating up my case airflow (plus its sitting right next to my northbridge and right on top of my southbridge!). back then i was using another gpu. i oc with multiplier 9 because with 450x9.5 @1.33v the proc will go more than 70C, i tried 450x10 too but that requires more than 1.35v and in long term i think it would do more damage to the proc if i havent solve the heat problem. anyway thanks!

Hi guys..need some opinions..

I'm using:
Sunbeam CCF + Tunix TX2
Computer located in a non air-cond room
Q6600 at 2.4Ghz

When I first installed the CCF (few months ago), my idle temps were about 40C. Now, my idle temps are about 45C-47C, it can never reach 40C anymore..

At full load using Prime95 Blend test, I get around 60C-62C.

Why did my idle temp increase? I've got a feeling its got to do why my thermal paste. If I have the time next week, maybe I'll renew my thermal paste..but installing the CCF is a pain..my fingers bleed when I first install it lol..

Btw, I'm using RealTemp 3.00 to measure my temps since I install my CCF, so its not the version of the program that causes the increase in the idle temps

I forgot to mention that I've also cleared my comp (remove dust from intake fans and inside the casing). The only dan I didn't clean is the exhaust fan..they don't look dirty to me lol..

I did a stress test just now. My max temp remains the same as before, 60C-62C, but my idle temp is the one increased.

I see that people can get an idle temp of around 30C..I want that sad.gif

if you dont mind u could downclock ur proc. or even lower the voltage of ur proc, that would lower ur proc temp.

I'm using CM590. I've made my wiring much tidy last month which results in a reduction on 2-3C lol..

I an using FOUR CoolerMaster 90CFM fans. 1 top, 1 back, 1 side, 1 front.
I'll try to get a pic asap.

Thanks!

Before this, idle temp was 38C-41C, full load temp is 60C-62C
After few months, idle temp was 46-48C, full load temp remains the same.

After clearing up the casing, cleaning the fans, cleaning the input fan filters of my CM590, re-arranging the wires, the idle temp is now 44-46C.

The only reason for my idle temp to increase might be due to global warming, which increases my room temp lol..

The NMB-U fan that im using is a auto speed variated based on its own temp sensor. Idle @ 2000 rpm, load at 4200 rpm.
AMD's Cool n Quiet feature disabled. If enabled, idle drops to 33c; but its not very fair isnt it?

Hi, Currently i owned a C.Master V8 and an Intel C2D E8200, and i considering to change the heatsink to Ximagtek S1283 or Thor's Hammer because i saw xiggy got more potential than C.Master V8. Does it worth to move forward to Xiggy S1283/S1283v or Thor's Hammer?

Need some opinion from u guys, THANK!!!

nope... not really worth the change

V8 itself is already a very good cooler and its looking nicer than those coolers u mentioned too (but it can be subjective lol)

and most of the coolers like those u mentioned doesnt differ too much in terms of ability compared to V8

they will give u more less the same performance (most of the time performance of ur cooler is also affected by the way u apply ur thermal paste)

thor's hammer is rumoured to be a bad cooler...it is said it performs more less like s1283 lol.....i have not tried it, but there are some ppl who sold the thor just after a few days owning it..

so, u shud know why tongue.gif

but i saw many review that s1283/CCF beat CM V8 with almost 4'c-9'c

the xiggy and CCF was cheaper but mostly ppl recommend to get this 2 type of cooler compare with V8, some forumers in other forums said V8 will perform slightly better than s1283, so it making me confusing rclxub.gif . Are here any senior or junior here try them both b4?

hmm....how to say this

erm... most of the reviews have different methods of testing and ways of applying their thermal paste and different tools or ways used to measure the temp...

so the final results will always be different... thats how u see some say v8 will beat s1283 and vice versa..

and then again, reviews are not always fully true... some are rumoured "paid" to promo certain items....

imo i think u shud just stick with v8... u wont see any big difference jumping to those coolers.... from what i know so far, v8 is one of the best coolers apart from TRUE and prolima kinds of coolers
