hey guys!

first time posting in cooling thread tongue.gif i would need some opinion abit smile.gif i have recently sold off my zalman cpu cooler and i was thinking to get a cpu cooler replacement. i have CM V8 in my mind. however, my main concern is whether can i actually fit V8 into my mobo sad.gif

my mobo model is DK 790FXB-M2RSH. i would appreciate if any owners of the mobo able to share their opinions towards any good aftermarket cpu coolers that they have used on the mobo. i have also attached the pic of the mobo model as below :

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

i'm afraid the CM V8 is not able to fit on the mobo due to the stock NB passive cooler (black color heatsink with "LANPARTY" red sticker) and the silver color heatsink sad.gif any sifu can advice? i'm not really interested with CCF though smile.gif

Yes it can, i've seen review involved Cooler Master V8 pairs with DFI 790FXB-M2RSH.

Just key in V8 DFI 790FXB in search ,and u can have some results related to it.

but then im using powerlogic azzura 2000 casing... CCF not fit properly inside my case.. I need to cut holes so the copper would not touch the side panel..

p/s : forgot to mention... Im not using tuniq tx-2 as thermal paste instead im using Cooler Master HTK-002 thermal paste (RM9)... Tuniq TX-2 already finish... wink.gif ... My GC also using same thermal paste

I did do some research on that together with the help from ah khoo.. managed to find couple of users with CM V8 pairs with DFI LP DK 790FXB-M2RSH and a review with CM V8 pairs with DFI LP DK 790FXB-M3H5.. basically both boards have the same layout.. so I am pretty confident that it will fit nicely onto my board icon_rolleyes.gif

Bought a CM V8 from zhen wei this morning from his office and hoping to install it within these few days. I shall post my temperature result soon here wink.gif

Thanks for the help though smile.gif
