I bought this heatgun many years ago. Hardly used it. Recently brought it out to scrape off sum sound deadening foam from a Lian Li side panel. Lian Li likes to stick on those useless sponge pads on the side panels nowadays. It doesnt even do anything for sound deadening. N they're such a pain to remove from the panels when we wanna remove it for custom cuts. Anyway, it takes a fair bit of time to scrape off that sponge thing n after a while BOOOOOOM! The silly heatgun exploded! I quickly chucked it on the floor n grabbed my nearest video device n captured it to share with u guys.






After that I proceeded to ACE hardware to buy a proper heatgun. I saw this unit selling at rm199 n when I went to buy it, it happened to be on discount or sumthin, only rm149 n it was the last unit. Good stuff this heatgun. It has a constant max heat control to maintain the maximum temps u set so it never ever overheats. Max power is 1800Watts. U can set 3 levels of heat- 50C, 400C n 570C.

The 1 that caught on fire is the tesco brand. Skil is the new 1 I bought. Skil is the proper type to buy. Here's the pics of the lauya heatgun.

Just chuck it on the floor oni mar. Dont need superman reflexes for that. It was filmed using my phone video cam so it was pretty quick.






Skil is a division of Bosch. It's sorta like Bosch but made for home users so it's more affordable.

Electrical fire wei. How can use water. U wanna make another BOOOOOOOOOM kar? This kinda fire hafta use fire extinguisher. The extinguisher can only be used once. After u trigger it, u hafta send it in for servicing to refill new charge of gas n powder. All in, this silly lil fire cost a pretty sum of money so I might as well have sum fun with it b4 I extinguish it. After extinguishing the fire need to do big cleanup sumore coz teh white powder flies everywhere n needs to be washed.
