i dun think it's ur proc limiting u or ur mobo... u only pumped vcore and u are already getting to 475 x 8. For me, i think that's very good dy.. coz i see most ppl fiddles with cpu vtt, gmch, gtl ref, and vcore altogether in order to get a stable OC especially for p45 chipset. maybe u can stop at 1.4vcore, try a higher fsb, if cant boot then fiddle with vtt and gmch? just a suggestion.

at 485 fsb can boot but cant stable at 1.36 vcore. increasing vtt and vmch also no luck. so i think is the gtl thingy. sadly no gtl option in bios. is the gtl effect the oc much?

i dunno about gtl.. coz i never fiddle with it before... but i read from other forums, gtl really affects OC stability. u increase vtt and vmch to how much?

hrm.. vtt quite high dy also cant ah.. vmch is not that high for 1.36... can try up to 1.4... if u wanna keep ur OC for regular use.. i suggest u keep ur vcore below 1.35 or 1.3.. and find the maximum clock u can run for this vcore..

lol.. my mobo limiting my proc sad.gif... so... i have to sell it first... after i get p5q3 then i'll continue my journey.. lol...

did u add a small fan to ur northbridge heatsink? if u didnt.. i think u should... cools ur NB...

GTL does stable your overclock.
For my 480 x 7.5, it wont stable w/o GTL setting. smile.gif

for daily use just 3.2 ghz oni. save electricity. tongue.gif finding highest stable clock is just for my own satisfaction. yup. i put 80mm fan on top of the nb.

actually, sometimes too high nb or vtt cant help u stabilise also.... try to add the vtt and vnb slowly.....

personally i would recommended u oc bit by bit.... meaning, try go 0.1ghz at a time(personally i move by 0.05ghz laugh.gif)... stabilise it, then move to the next clock ..

normally to stabilise the next clock will only need u to add a lil bit more voltage/ adjustment only.....

that way u get to find max result with minimal voltage.....

just a personal opinion here smile.gif
