it's Lotus MSX lolx..

I will give a try if cheap compare to other imported car..

Safety and performance must be Lotus standard not Proton Standard...

Good Job Proton / Lotus

-----

some ppl say it's a copycat car..

Well, I dont think Malaysian, can able to design or make these car without any support from Ang Mo. where do have more experience and talent towards Car industry.

We are only a 3rd world country. But, I am agree with u, It's a copycat / Lotus car. However, I dont mind if this is cheap and good Quality.

(Give more support to M'sia product then only ur country will grow rapidly, I got a Korean friend, They Love their country, everything they buy are made from korea, and they send back their children for learn the korean culture every sch holiday, as for m'sian, ppl will say "go far far, dont come back m'sia.. can not cari makan kat sini" )

yea, right
its cheap because imported cars got tons of tax
and protons are way pricier that they should be
then you can see that this car is cheaper than imported one

Proton own Lotus, so they have the right to do anything that they like with the Lotus APX even turning it in to a Proton...

Lol, tell that to Honda when they display Honda HSC in Tokyo, but in Detroit show, it is displayed as Acura HSC...

This is not copy paste, because essentially, Lotus is a subsidiary of Proton....even GM does badge "engineering" as well!

Perodua MyVi is essentially Daihatsu Boon/Sirion and Toyota Passo, then Fiat Ulysse is essentially same as Peugeot 807 and Citroen C8....Toyota Aygo shares most parts with Peugeot 107 and Citroen C1.....these days, it is common...

But then, i doubt the MSX (APX) will be sold under Proton anyway, if it ever get into production...

bro.. u r right... nod.gif im your side..... thumbup.gif
the guys talk nonsence here all don't know anything about it... they only know "proton is copycat" and perodua is nice inteligent car.... they all don't know anything about other company, they always talk bad thing about same thing other poeple sayed... if one guy say proton is useless.. then this guy all oso say useless... if we ask them what is useless... then, they will rolleyes and give stupid answer... they don't know, perodua is a big and father of copycat....

i see some people here... talk about their(proton) design...!!! u all think, easyly can design one car....?? bullshit...!!
it will take few years for 1 perfect concept.... for malaysia... we don't have any good automotive designer here... so, we need get help for others manufactures... the important thing is, proton owner need $$$ not your comment, so, he need get $$$ from low budget cars, where the malaysian can afford to buy it....

Proton can manufact better and a nice car like same quality with honda,
but, can malaysian afford it..?? offcourse not.... shakehead.gif malaysian need low budget car.... doh.gif not safety and good design car.... doh.gif they always ask how much it is... doh.gif they not ask, got ABS, AIRBAG or not.... doh.gif malaysian always need Kancil, Kelisa, Myvi, Saga with low price...

Kancil= piece of junk
Kelisa= Piece of crap
Myvi= Piece of shit
Saga=piece of ****

u all talk about Design..?? talk about Safety....??? then why still people got buy all craps from perodua, Naza and Proton...???
go and buy, mercedez, BMW, Volvo lo.... don't buy malaysian low price and low safety car..... brows.gif

SOMANNY GUYS TALK BIG HERE, BUT PARK MALAYSIA(PROTON) CAR AT HOME.... BULLSHIT..!!!! COME ON GUYS...!!! cool2.gif

its Lotus APX and Proton contributes nothing to APX Concept. The design still looks ugly though.

dude Honda and Acura is the same, it's just that in the US they create the Acura brand as the luxury brand of Honda, just like Lexus to Toyota.

what kind of materials does cayenne uses since u know its better than the APX/MSX?

yeah, APX uses cheap metal.. all significant components and structural items are made from aluminum... just like u said, tin milo.

do u know what APX stands for? in case u didnt know its Aluminum Performance Crossover, which contributes to its light weight.
and lightweight structures are Lotus Engineering's specialties and this is the industry recognized area where the greatest improvements in performance and fuel economy can be gained...

I know, but what i am trying to say, is.....there are many companies that used more than one brand for one particular model...

Some people say Proton copy Lotus APX lah, bla bla....

It is just the difference in brand, that's all...

But for some people, who i don't know why they think when Proton put "Proton MSX" on Lotus APX, they all go and say "copy lah", this and that...

I wouldn't say Perodua is bad, infact, it is the existence of Perodua, in a way helps Proton, in my opinion, look at the MD, came from where? He came from Perodua...

Perodua do help people to get more affordable Japanese cars...that is for sure and it is good!

Then, Proton do deserve to be bashed for past mistakes, but at the same time, bashing something without any proper information, is just a bad sign to a person...

but the way they rebadge is not like Toyota Harrier become Lexus RX because they are made by Toyota. While this is Lotus APX then they just put proton badge in it. I don't know how to explain it. Lotus and Proton are not the same company in the beginning unlike Lexus and Toyota

Before the arrival of Lexus in Japan...

Toyota Harrier is the Lexus RX, i think you also know that eh...

The difference between Lexus RX and Toyota Harrier were mainly, engines...

Toyota Harrier, as it is destined to Japanese market, has smaller engine displacement compared to Lexus RX which was and is equipped with larger engine because its focus are mainly for North American market, which demands higher engine displacement...

The 2.4 litre engine offered in the first and second generation Harrier, was never officially offered for export market...

Both Lexus RX and Toyota Harrier, since are the same vehicle, except the engine options, were manufactured in Miyawaka, Fukuoka prefecture, Japan...

btw, stop arguing about proton copying anything or everything from lotus, its not copying at all.. it is called technology transfer.
Lotus is owned by Proton. end of story.
