Not that it'll be on Protons manufacturing line,.. lol


BTW, ZAP-X is also based on this MSX AKA LOTUS APX.

Google for it.

Gonna launch soon. So maybe we can look how designers change the total appearance.

Very cool car, but ofcourse I expect nothing less from Lotus, cause they always have nice design for their car.(My fav is the Lotus Elipse)

But I think Proton wont intro this model or even a tune down version of this model in Malaysia, due to the Malaysian mind, the "why get a Proton while you can get a car for the same price or more by a little bit but of other non local company" Or if they want to intro the model, I guess the only choice is use Lotus, then ppl will go all "Wow, Lotus boh" eventhough it cost you 170k or more hahaha.

well... actually lotus in malaysia is alraedy bought by malaysia... so whatever the lotus came out... proton will have it... and i dont quite trust this MSX so much... that light weight with high speed... IMHO so far... i dont see any improvement on the proton's car safety...

not sure where the engine is from. even lotus doesnt make any of their own engines as far as i know. and a 3 litre with 360Nm of torque? should have forced induction in that case.

y not say the same thing to perodua?
perodua innovation only rely on phone call to toyota/daihatsu to manufactured new models.
at least proton for its upcoming mpv start from scratch. diff than perodua

Proton car in the late 1990's and early 2000's has crap quality, gotta say that...

But Proton cars these days are quite different...

What innovation you meant? I think you should visit their technology day in Shah Alam held in August smile.gif

Lol, tell that to Honda when they display Honda HSC in Tokyo, but in Detroit show, it is displayed as Acura HSC...

This is not copy paste, because essentially, Lotus is a subsidiary of Proton....even GM does badge "engineering" as well!

Perodua MyVi is essentially Daihatsu Boon/Sirion and Toyota Passo, then Fiat Ulysse is essentially same as Peugeot 807 and Citroen C8....Toyota Aygo shares most parts with Peugeot 107 and Citroen C1.....these days, it is common...

But then, i doubt the MSX (APX) will be sold under Proton anyway, if it ever get into production...
