Hi guys,

I using one of the msi motherboard which the model is K8N Neo4 Platinum (PCB 1.0), it's kinda old model but now i'm planing to change new graphic card and i already planing to buy Nvidia 7900 series DDR3..... but i wonder is my mother can support for this graphic card?

Can anyone guide me? THX smile.gif

Ic ..... i'm just curious that new graphic card can't support for old board. That day planing to buy 9600series or ati hd4000 series, all running ddr3 or ddr4... well sometimes old board can't support.

noo.. display cards are running GDDR1,2,3,4,5 to communicate with graphic processor, not our PC processor.
so it's not related. you can use them safely.
btw, 7900 is running GDDR3 and need 1x 6PIN PCI-E power to work properly.
prepare for good power supply.

many people say MSI motherboard are lousy.. what problem with the mobo ah ? the bios easily crash ?

yes , MSI mobo was suck to the core before.

but nowadays MSI mobo is solid... just improved and better than previous faulty , dead cases.
