There are a multitude of Free Anti Virus softwares around on the Internet...

some example are :

AVG
Avast
AntiVir
ClamAV
and many others...

Many of these free anti virus programs are better than resource hungry NAV and McAfee which sometimes consume more resources than the viruses itself...


Tell us your experience, which are the best ones... fastest ones.... least resource hungry...


My first experience / comment is : the new AVG 8.0 is slower than AVG 7.5... anybody notice it ?

me-avira antivir. thumbup.gif can detect many others anti virus cant detect virus~

im also using avira. the only problem is that avira has also many false positive
