Hello there,

Currently I am looking for a new home gaming PC (non-branded ) to replace my 4 year old PC at the moment. However I'm need to find out which is the best hardware components like graphic card, ram, sound card, motherboard etc.that compatible to my new PC for fast evolution games these days like WOW, FIFA, COD 4 or even CNC3 which were require a better sound, graphic pictures and so on. Really do hope some avid or pro-gamers would like to share info before start buying them soon in Low Yat. Willing to accept opinion and critics. Thanks

Mind sharing what's the total budget allocated for your new PC?
If you don't state a budget, forumers can just name any of the lastest and highest end hardware available which might not fit your bill.

Hmm, Above RM 3k? No upper limit?
If that's true, then it's fairly straighforward to set up your new PC.
2 * Intel C2E QX9770
IntelĀ® Desktop Board D5400XS(aka SkullTrail)
2 * Corsair Dominator PC2-8500 4GB kit(TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF)
2 * 300GB Western Digital VelociRaptor(RAID0)
2 * ATI Radeon HD4870x2
1 * PCI Express Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Series sound card
1 * SilverStone Strider ST1200
1 * Casing of your choice

Total estimated price = Above RM 15k?
Here you go, enjoy your no-holds-barred PC.

Anyway, here're some more realistic setups:
Intel Based
1 * Intel C2D E7000 or E8000 series - RM390 onwards
1* Biostar TPower I45 - RM495
2GB/4GB Value or Performance RAM of your choice - RM130 onwards
(My opinion: 2GB/4GB Kingston/Corsair Value RAM,
Team Xtreem DDR2 800 2GB kit, Team Elite DDR2 800 4GB kit)
1 * 500GB Seagate 32MB Cache or 1 * 640GB WD 16MB Cache HDD - RM250 onwards
1 * ATI radeon HD4800 Series - RM625 onwards
1 * SilverStone Strider ST560F - RM320
1 * Casing of your choice - RM100 onwards

Total estimated price = RM2310 onwards

AMD Based
1 * AMD Phenom X3 or X4 series - RM440 onwards
1 * DFI Lanparty DK 790FX M2R - RM530
2GB/4GB Value or Performance RAM of your choice - RM130 onwards
(My opinion: 2GB/4GB Kingston/Corsair Value RAM,
Team Xtreem DDR2 800 2GB kit, Team Elite DDR2 800 4GB kit)
1 * 500GB Seagate 32MB Cache or 1 * 640GB WD 16MB Cache HDD - RM250 onwards
1 * ATI radeon HD4800 Series - RM625 onwards
1 * SilverStone Strider ST560F - RM320
1 * Casing of your choice - RM100

Total estimated price = RM2395 onwards

These are more realistic setups for average PC Gamer.
Well, the choice is your NO-HOLDS-BARRED PC or A WALLET FRIENDLY PC.
Good luck in your shopping. laugh.gif
