I would like to recommend CCCP, or KLite Mega Codec Pack.

Don't be lazy, google them yourself.

How come a lot of people like to just install codec packs like k-lite? Isn't is a bit of an overdo?
Cos when problems starts occurring or strange awkward video behaviors you wouldn't know which codec is the problem.
It is just like installing Adobe CS3 just because you want to view PNG files.
I prefer to just install the needed codecs only.

Sotplug,

They just plain lazy to search one by one. Sometimes different movie needs different codec, let it be video or audio tongue.gif

Use KLite Mega Codec Pack. NO need to install other codec/player anymore. And what I like about 'em is they can 'thumbnai-view' or whatever it is almost all video files including .flv, .mp4 and .mkv. biggrin.gif And they use less memory too compared to WMP.

EDIT : Here, I provide you with the link. Here.

Sotplug is right. Don't install a bunch of codecs just cos they're packed together. Only install what you need.

I use:
DivX
Xvid
Quicktime
Matroska
