autorun.inf shouldn't be available in pendrive/portable hdd etc, except CD image. Paste the content of autorun.inf by opening the file via Notepad please.

Download Flash Disinfector by sUBs and save it to your desktop.

* Double-click Flash_Disinfector.exe to run it. Follow any prompts that may appear.
* Your desktop will vanish for a while, and then reappear. This is normal.
* Wait until the program has finished scanning, then please exit the program.
* Restart your computer and see if problem still persists.

For your information DriveGuard is "Macrosoft" product (notice that it is not "Microsoft") for disk drive protection. Hahah, yeah right. It is a malware better known as FlashGuard.

Don't confuse this malware with HP DriveGuard application.

At this moment, there is no removal application provided on the Internet. Kasperky Lab is still studying it as its trend of infection has started in June 2008.

http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showt...=0&#entry693468

While googling the Internet, I notice an application of the same name "Flashguard" from Davis Software. I am suspicious of it. Its version is 1.0.0.5 (so new!)

http://www.davisr.com/cgi-bin/content/prod.../flashguard.htm

Read the news section of the website:

QUOTE

Today I release new useful utility - Flash Guard.
It really can protect your system from any virus which spreads on USB flash drives and uses Autorun technology for infection.
Application is freeware.
