Good Days everyone!!This is a Good news to all gamers especially Game Developers Club (GDC) members. We are going to organize a LAN PARTY after midterm break. All you have to do is bring your own computer and start to play games with other gamers. This will be a memorable experience for gamers to know each other, learn from each other, and much more. Tables, chairs, network, and refreshments will be provided. You can play there all day long after you set your pc up there!! The main objective of this event is to gather the players together and have fun together in a place, just like a cc, with low cost ^^ (may be Rm2 or 3 like that and you can sit there and play whole day)Please vote for this, we would like to know how many people are actually interested in this. Non-MMU students are welcomed also. The event will be at saturday, from morning till evening(or may be night, depending on the player's feedback). LAN party is very popular in other country, so we, Game Developers' Club from MMU Cyberjaya would like to take the initiative to promote this event in Malaysia. Gamers!!!! Do you hear this?? Hi this is a really special event , can i know where is the venue? cos if i want to bring my desktop from cyberia to FIT by foot i think its really tiring ( but i think i wont be that stupid haha normally will ask friend to bring me there XD) and Good luck ! Fully support

nice idea... location is not though.. but its ok if there is no budget for now... if u can get big number u can get location sponcers. or set up booths for local distros to display products thus renting the booth space covering ur costs...

1st of all, thanks for the support to GDC events!! ^^
Here are some of the detail that we can give u now:

1)Entrance fee will not be very high, most probably like RM2 or 3 one time charge, you can go in/out from the event venue as you wish.
2)Initially we are planning a 1 day event. And it will be on weekend. Most probably Week 8 Saturday or Sunday.
3)Time for the event initially is set on : 10am till 6pm. But we can extend the time to night. Depending on the payer's feedback and request.

2 days event XD u gonna stay there overnight??? lol. i think the security guy will chase u out, no?
Haha, the only sponsor we need is the networking only. Others no need because the aim for this event is not to earn fund. This is a pure entertainment event by gamer, to gamer!!! Haha, the only thing we hope from you is => Join our events, make it hot!! Oh ya, for the Rm2/3, we wil provide drinks, we'll see how.

ya I understand, but we can't book MPH on that day, it is booked for examination matter. So the best second choice is FIT glass room i think. It will be better than in normal class room right? =P and sat sunday not much ppl there to see u 1 lar lolz~~ so shy meh XD

Hi Eddie, it would be great to hav lan party...too bad i was in internship also - ,- moving my desktop is very painful for me lol... Kelana->Cyber, Cyber->Kelana =,= without car...

but it's a nice idea though... can borrow lan items from FIT...
ask technician to setup for us...if can...
at the same time... provide original games to be sell on the spot...I'm sure ppl would like to buy... announce it in bulletin if u're going to sell, i'm sure foreign students wanted to buy...

and throw some "sudden" events... small prize giving for event winners... eat, game then rest, talk abt things... share thoughts...

it would be nice.

Yaya, that's a brilliant idea! Giving away some mystery gifts would be great!

Cyberjaya is FAAAAARRRR from Petaling Jaya, SS1. We'll see.

EDIT: I sure as hell am not going if there is DoTA.

EDI #2: It's very hard to say who's going to bring that games. And i don't expect even 30% to actually bring original copies of games they may or may not own. Honestly, that's how low my expectation is for gamers to use original copies in Malaysia.

True. Not much players in Malaysia buy original games, but the number is increasing, anyway, let'
s not discuss about this. On that day, other than pc games, we can also bring out the board games under GDC's name for play, so that we can confirm to let you game all the time while in "our" territory, CHEERS!

*P/s* oh ya, if they don't have the game, You bring your installation CD and let them install lo~~~ then all can play. Games sharing are always great!!! Let's make the environment fun, and worth your time traveling here in MMU =) Hope to see you here.
