i want to know how do i edit the photos stored in iphoto library in adobe lightroom.

any help?

thanks.

ps: just recently i started to use the iphoto after using preview to see the pictures. or else it will take double the space to store in iphoto and in the normal pictures folder

Maybe you can try to describe what you plan to edit ? Exp like leveling, colour balance or photo manipulation like changing of background.

the colors...shadow, exposure...those things mostly...not syiok la use iphoto

I believe what you mentioned above is possible with iPhoto. I am more comfortable editing photo with Photoshop CS3.

possible but i want more flexibility with adobe lightroom.
iphoto is never my photo editing software.

so how do i find the photos stored in the iphoto folder?

iPhoto '08 photos are stored in
~(home folder)/Pictures/iPhoto Library.

that's a package file, so I recommend you make a copy and then do your editing with the copy.

my mac dont have iphoto inside

i know lightroom better that iphoto

yes, cos iPhoto is a library-based app, like iTunes.
if you edit the pictures inside the iPhoto library directly, you risk damaging the library permanently.

at the very least, make a backup of the iPhoto library.

u can import the photos from iphoto library...

lightroom just photo enhancement software.. u cant manipulate the photos... biggrin.gif

for mac, why not try aperture for a non linear workflow? Been using lightroom for 6 months.. switched to aperture.. and im still using it till now, non is superior just that i prefer the workflow that aperture gives me.
