About the heat, I think the 4850 GS is running quite "cool" when compared to the reference board.

Though it seems that when running at 100% fan speed, can hear a little bit of metal knocking noise. Probably the heatsink vibrating a little due to the fan and knocking against the plastic cover a little.

If things are too hot then maybe you can consider moving WC or get a good aftermarket GPU HSF biggrin.gif

Sometimes, it could be due to CPU too hot as well. GC will affected by the heat of CPU heatsink.

i think if there are artifacts, you'll start seeing white dots randomly appear on the donut

okay,

on IDLE of stock settings of 700/1100 the temperature is between 45°c - 50°c roughly.

LOAD temp is between 58°c - 65°c on stock speed.
