getting worried of my HD4850 temperature issue.

well, i've seen that the twin turbo has two fans.

RM180, hmm.....

and i saw moderno selling Gainward HD4850 with quite a good cooling system. and now kinda regret getting Gigabyte HD4850. haha

run atitool artifact scanning for at least 6hrs or Furmark for 6hrs see ur card got hang up or not. If furmark can pass, i think gaming also no prob la. Furmark run 100% GPU load, stress ur gpu until the max like how u squeeze the orange for its juice lolz.

I did mine for like 30 minutes and i run the GPU folding client, much better to test the card's stability and do a community project. Wanna join ? brows.gif

now i'm stuck whether to get Gainward HD4850 Golden Sample or just get another cheapo HD4850 and adds twin turbo cooler.

Two things i have to take note, GPU temperature on idle and how much can it OC. -__-

any suggestion out there? @_@

Gainward HD4850 comparison

i think gainward can be pushed further, but i dunno can it beat sapphire toxic or not. But like i do 690/1100, no prob with accelero s1. If the 8.8 driver allow me to get pass 700 and use 1.2v, i think 720/1100 should be ok.

hmm, the GS version looks okay. besides according to the brochure from moderno, it's using 0.9ns samsung chip. 'so call' faster memory.

but to me, it's all about BEST BUY. haha

the GS has already set 700/1000.
i think i can push more. but i'm afraid the stock cooler from Gainward doesn't release much heat.

even the HIS HD4850ICEQ4 turbo looks good. .... choices!!!! rclxub.gif

ARGH, too many HD4850 product in the market !!!!

hahaha...i understand ur feeling. Already face same situation. sweat.gif

i want to make some correction, its not 0.9ns but 0.8ns (http://www.gainward.com/product/product_detail.php?products_id=178)

iceq4: ofcoz laa it have nice design but it clocked at reference speed (talk about turbo ver. not turbo-x) and it quite expensive too (RM665)

p/s: maybe u can ask whoever that already have iceq4 card to OC their card to the same clock as GS ver. and then compare which one have better cooling solution. thumbup.gif
