that's is the sound made by gc, come from the coils. google for it

i downloaded ATI Tray Tools 1.3.6.1042 and tried to oc it but when i click apply it gave me BSOD...

i did testing the Huntkey at 4850 and most of the GC except 4870 there is no issue there.

have anyone tried to flash the sapphire non default core clock n memory.. i found one at techpowerup.. the clock is 675/1150.. can i flash the bios wiothout any prob? just wanna gv it a try

AMD GPU Clock Tool is used to oc the card to surpass the CCC limit at 700mhz core and at 1200mhz for the mem

Tried 8.8 and i get no supported card detected so i use 8.7 back.

Hi, after observations I'm very sure the sound is coming from the PSU. I've found a few other cases on the internet. One of them is using a CM 700W PSU with 9800GX2 and he has the noise as well.

I don't know how to describe the noise but very much similiar to this, which I assume is probably the same case.

When loading I mean situations like this... =/ When GPU is up to 99-100% but I don't think the card is overheating or something yet right?

yea must download the driver seperately for vista 32bit....ati webmaster was half asleep when he post up the links...=(

That means your psu is at their limits already which is not good for long term

by the way, i notice most of the HD4850 user out there has low temperature even though the fan speed is low. But mine's a bit HOT. That's weird.

Probably most of you are using after market cooler i guess.
