Hi guys, hope I'm not causing too much trouble.

Straight to the point, I'm using a wired connection in my house. I have a pc and laptop. I am currently using streamyx and my modem router is Dlink DSL-500T. Is it in any possible for me to share my connection wireless without having to buy a modem+router+wireless all in 1 thing? Since I already have a modem router is there anything that just act like the missing wireless?

Also, I saw a guide somewhere here that erm like you can use your other PC/laptop as monitor, but not only that, you can do different things at the same time too.(I've been searching back for the guide but cant find it, anyone kind enough to provide it?) Do I also need a wireless erm thing to use that function?

Thank you in advance for helping me.

You'll need a Wireless Access Point. But then a Wireless Access Point would cost you more then a price of a Wireless Router itself (usually). DSL -500T has only 1 Ethernet port.

I would just get a Wireless router and use your modem as a modem. If its meant to be a modem let it be. Even my DB102 could act as a router , but I rather use a dedicated wireless router for that function. So if you ask me honestly , go get a wireless router instead. Wireless access point takes time and some effort for you to configure and to fit into your existing network (which isn't big)

How much does wireless router costs these days?

Thanks for the reply.

If I don't want wireless, used wired, is there any cheaper alternative to the expensive switches with so many ports?(Maybe switches with less ports and is cheaper or something else?)

Wired Network Sharing
1.RM50 for 5-port switch
(PC & Laptop plug to switch port)

Wireless Network Sharing
My choice would be WRT54GL(RM190), stable but pricey.
