hey mods/ admins,

ive been browsing other forums and i see they have the picture auto resize feature when the [ img ] tags are used.

thought it could/ should be implemented here since quite a number of people dont know how to resize their pix for forums... either that or theyre just plain lazy or inconsiderate

anyway...heres 2 examples from kelisclub forum and ZTH... (will be using spoilers here for so that u get the full size and and can gauge wat i mean)

1/ i prefer the ZTH style.. where they will resize it for viewing and if u wanna view the pic in original size, u click on the top bar and itll resize there and then itself...

2/ kelisaclub, also works (same Invision Powerboard) only thing i dont like about kelisaclub's implementation are 2 things
i) when resized itll centralize the pic
ii) when u want to view the original size, itll open in a new window/ tab and not on the thread itself like zth

one thing to take note, for both forums, if the original image size falls within the "auto-resized" size, (u get what i mean right?), the image will remain as is and not be resized.


i really think it should be implemented here as well so that any pictures posted via the img tags wont go too big. hope u guys can consider this as it gets pretty annoying whn people post humungous pictures which makes it even harder to view.

also, i suggest auto resizing to 800*600 or 640*480 if possible (the 2 examples given are smaller) and NOT centralized.

EDIT: forgot to mention, reason i ask for auto resizing to 800*600 is mainly so that the photography forum can still show off their pictures at a decent size.

i agree with TS. i feel that it's really annoying to surf lyn using my old 14" screen laptop if someone were to load a large image.

I do believe that there's alot of lyn forummers would agree for such change, as i see it all the time that one will sound the other if he/she posted a hi-res picture.

what's is there to lose if the mods were to study such request? would it be system limitation that would involve $$ for such change or there's just something else to consider?
