As for thermal paste, I started using the thermal paste provided with the Zalman fan. Then, I bought the Cooler Master Nano (dun remember the full name). Both of them gave the same results. Wanted the Arctic Cooling, but cannot find.

Erm,sorry TS for spamming here. Neway, here's my tips ( I got contribute see? )

--> If you will do alot of video editing and rendering, go for Q9450, no regret.
--> If you just do stuff like playing with editing software like me, ( edit non-HD picture la, composing your own song la, do some fancy flash movie la ), go Q6600 or even C2D can dy la, don't waste money. Because it wou't speed up much if you are not going to do intensive HD rendering and encoding.
--> If you plan for multi-purpose computer that is so powerful to do all, choose Q9450, the generous cache won't let you down. ( but don't use Vista Ultimate , coz it sux... )
--> If you want to play games mainly, go for C2D or at most Q6600, and add 2 radeon for xfire, then you sure won't regret.

Trust me dude, I am a all rounder, and I know what will suits your need.

Q6600 will give at least 1 year more before ppl starts to stop buying it... Unless Intel hand itchy go and lock up its multiplier, then OCers won't get it liao.

Somemore TS, now 45nm just out, and straight away 65nm batch all drop price. In fact if you check the web, you will see that the price drop has been initiated by Intel itself. This means? Not intel want to give good price to consumer, is because they are going to put more effort on their 45nm sales. Which means???

Obviously la, get the 45nm one lah...... You won't regret one. And I ran benchmarks dy, Q9450 won't be far away from the extreme 3 Ghz on most task. Q6600 ( at stock ) would be a lot different from Q9450.

Q6600 is way to go...

Which means?

Q6600 is a better ocer,you don't need a quad core 500FSB board to reach 4ghz

any low yat ppl.....is intel got price cut in next few weeks or Q3 2008?
