Hey Mate...I once tested a samsung K3, the sound quality so so only...and very "blur" wor...

K3 i dunno the one i tested was T something. I used it with my X3I and their earphone the sound quality instantly beat my IPOD and when i play video you can hear surround sound

I see...so when u use a good earphone, on both player, then you will be able to test the real potential of the player itself, if it is a good sound processor itself

Gosh...now u tell me this...

But anyway, Samsung player also not cheap le...

I dont know which samsung mp3 player u guys r talking about..but i did tried one a few months back. the one with the surround sound. really oh, ipod no fight oredi

n yeah, sony mp3 players are using a better sound chip

but then, did anyone here bought an ipod because of sound quality? i guess not

I think most people buy ipod coz of the design, animation, and fever for Apple products

Actually the sound quality for ipod also not bad la...esp when u are using good earphones...no player is perfect ma...like human, no human is perfect also...(still trying to support ipod )

For those who experienced X-fi, im sure u know what to expect

Have you wonder it could be better? I am not a really big fan in apple products so when i hear better quality players i tend to switch.

Samsung is not cheap but its the same price as an ipod but extra more features like Bluetooth, Audio recorder , easily transfer song without having headache of ITUNES , fading lights and many more .
Yea i tested on both it sound even better on the samsung i trired

we can just wish for an upgrade on the new ipod line up then ;p

but since apple gathered the majority market share even with ipods equipped with a so-so sound processor...i think it takes more to convince them that they should

Depends what you want.
If you just like cool design and interface go for IPOD even the stock earphone is terrible on an ipod.

If you like features and good sound quality go for SONY or SAMSUNG.

The new samsung mp3 player comes wit 3D surround sound.

I got an ipod few week ago then my fren brought me to the shop and test samsung mp3 player i immediately fall in love with the samsung because i am a 3D surround sound person.


Hassle with me BOught ipod nano then have to add few hundred to buy a good earphone.
If sony and samsung their stock earphone is good clear base clear treble.

actually ipod sound quality is also very good .... its just the earphones that are really crappy.

also if u use the iPod nano with a high-end audio equipment like a Krell KID or a Wadia iTransport, ... its the BEST hi-fi grade MP3 player at the moment...

Since we are in apple byte sub-forum,then i suggest you grab ipod nano..

Yea the stock earphone of ipod really sux but after i bought an expensive earphone i test it on ipod nano and samsung T1 i think ! T1 own ipod on sound
