probably got three reasons;

1. telco fault; alot of drop calls these days.. (means suddenly line putus in the middle of calls) you cant do anything about this.
2. your phone got problem; C702 biggest problem is the auto-restart, it restarts no matter during calls or during idle.. Never heard of auto hang up during calls yet.. Was it just a normal hang up or your phone totally turn of by itself??
3. third party fault; usually this problem happens with all calls or when u receive / make calls to specific person only? if specific.. haha.. maybe his or her hp got problem,..

well the auto hang up picks randomly as in it doesn happen to specifically certain plp. well so far my phone hasnt got any auto restart problem but this only happen each time when i unplugged my phone from the pc usb then it will restart and it takes for ages...but right now it auto hangs up, then the screen hangs for awhile maybe 10sec or so and then back to normal....im using maxis by the way..could it be telco...

thanks for the advise..would updating the firmware helps abit with the hangin and and auto restart?

i'm not sure, but before updating firmware, backup all your contacts, messages and all important things..

debranding?

the guy who helped me in esato said, i cant update becos CDA isnt correct.
so he give me his customize_upgrade.xml,
after that, can update thru seus. no problem..
but got GENERIC version lah.. and different languages too..

i dont care, coz i use english anyway..
and already backup customize.xml (APAC ANZ language), but i dont install lah coz i malas already haha..

I want to keep this phone as stock as possible,
no new flash menus insert, no modded media player layout,
camdriver acoustics, all wanna keep standard.. LOL..

cos i think standard phone will give less problem, and lasts longer..

ya, u replaced the CDA also called as debranding which enabled yours to be updated thru SEUS

i also agree with u. whenever i modded my phone, always it auto restart but if keep it as stock, no frequent restart happen

im thinking to get this phone and just considering its gps functionality.. so i would like to ask about gps related things..
1. to use gps on c702 need to pay?
2. any screenshot for malaysia map via gps available?
3. is the gps function same like garmin? more? less?
4. how long the phone battery can stay alive when using gps (only and for normal use)
5. what its mean can use for free for first 3 month?
6. any pro and con about this phone (in any factors)?

1. normal gps is free.. while A-gps and wayfinder navigator software are not free.. >> can try use trekbuddy for map. it's free if you use normal gps to operate.

3. yes, but u need registered software or use the trial version of wayfinder navigator. however data charges still apply.
4. plus minus 3hrs with gps and running gps apps, 2 days with normal usage without gps..
5. free software only; wanna use still need to pay for data charges. after 3 months, u need to pay for the software and as well as data charges..

pro; not much.. it's just a basic phone with gps and camera. Splash resistant is just mere gimmick only.. dont rely much on it.. LED can use as torch, screen is good, White color is really white (ffffff) not yellowish compared to SE phone with ambient light sensor.
con; battery drain very fast when using gps, camera is very bad due to small aperture despite having 3.15MP. Lags alot when playing games and running apps, basically all aspects compared to 2009 SE phone. No auto-rotate or accelerometer, no light sensor.

unless u know how to manually update ur FW, u have to send it to shop. best claim warranty if its still in the period.
