if i am not mistaken. v7.0 cannot support anything? even ddwrt is not supported.

hi. im currently using wrt54gl with dd-wrt. im thinking of changing the firmware to either linkysys or tomato. i want to ask some opinion.

is it possible to monitor data/packet transfer of each clients connected to WLAN? My old TP-link could do that. i dunno y dd-wrt failed to have this function.

can i totally limit connection speed of WLAN clients? in terms of bittorrent usage? limiting their download speed. QOS seems more to be advantage to torrent than being otherwise.

Is it possible to set a blog or website as the homepage for everyone connected to the router. I want to use it to make announcements, n other details. Just set it as default homepage.

All these functions are not available/working properly in dd-wrt. So looking for other options. tnx in advance.

victek tomato can limit each IP bandwidth. so u can limit each client's speed. as for the monitoring..i dont think it's included..

hi everyone,

i am using 1.25 version with wifi +wds setting with other router? any solution that i can use the bw limiter which connect to the wds router by lan cable? i can't found the device in the device list.

and any tweak for the setting to make the router work more better ?
so many setting inside, i only know there is one setting can boost up the wifi signal only.

Now , with G.DMT mode, my adsl modem has been up for quite some time without freezing.

SPEAK OF THE DEVIL, the internet connect hung up moment ago. This time i didn't restart the modem. All i did was unplugged the phone line from the modem, and put it back in. After a few minutes it was online again. What is wrong guys?

something wrong with the isp i think. it is not related to the modem.

hi, im using victeck's tomato, i've been using the very lax wep security for my wifi and im aware that it could be easily cracked.

if there is an unknown client listed in my device list page, the mac address is shown, but the ip and the client name are not shown; just want to confirm, has he successfully cracked the wep encryption and connected to my network, or he's stuck at the password part?

plus, are all connected clients will be shown at the device list page? or is there any way that someone could actually try to connect to my router and manage to not show up in the device list page?

Who got the idea to configure the QoS???
I'm trying...to set the "IP/MAC BW Limiter" and enable the QoS...
But seen like still the same...
I also notice from View Graphs the status is still unclassified...even though i set the IP address as Lowest class.
Any Sifu and Guru can guide me??

i have checked the arp binding and limit unlisted machines but yet the newly connected device can surf the web.

isn't it suppose that the newly connected device wont get any bandwidth?

Anyone has proper configurations for the IP/MAC BW Limit? Tried but still no luck in having it to work. It just won't limit my other laptop.

Even QoS isn't working, just a simple test putting in a 300kbps at the download bandwidth still I'm getting 1mbps.

this one is not official tomato firmware. it's victek firmware. moded by victek himself.

Mayb u can try move the setting to the top at classification table...
