ZendStudio is pretty good. However I tend to just make use of it to for its wizard when it comes to the setting up of projects, so it'll create the project skeleton for me. Pretty useful when working with the Zend Framework. After that, I just switch to a text editor, like Textmate.

Adobe GoLive is my prefer. It enable developer to create website diagram, and aotomaticlly generate nesassay files from the diagram. Also, the file manager in GoLive just looks like windows Explorer, so pretty easy to handle. And, it's ability to direct connect to web server is one thing that I really needs it.

there a lot free forum script around, so no point creating ur own (plenty of free plug in around) ...
php/asp/coldfusion is a web program language, it can create almost everything for ur web site ......

i love to use script and ready make soft to create website, is easy and simple ......
if my customer request complicated web, i go for joomla/simplecms, carting/buysell i use zent/oscommerce/cube, simple site i use wordpress (<20 pages) .....

there is somany free script with full support around why need to custom ?
don't tell me ur own script can do more customize then joomla/mambo ......

I use notepad and imagination to edit my website php. although a software that can preview your website instantly offline will be welcomed. Anyone knows one?
