Decided to do a more thorough D300 Picture Control mode comparison.

Shot taken with Tamron 90mm at f/11 with ISO 200 and Auto WB on D300

Shot taken in my room with one window and one balcony. (some natural lighting)

Product was shot in a photo light tent. No flash was used.

Final jpeg seen here does not have embedded ICC (color profile). So what you see on your computer is close to actual if your monitor isn't calibrated.

interesting... i thought neutral should be less colored than vivid and standard. turned out to be on the contrary... i must have mistaken when i experimented the last time.

the velvia and the vivid...looks....dull...

ahh... now your findings are consistent with mine as far as the std, neutral and vivid are concerned.
what happened just now?
i usually leave mine at standard.

yeah... i dont remember much of the others but 'the footsteps to nowhere'... lasting impression. eagle shot.. i dont cant remember if it was looking left or right.
i got cameron shot also. i now like hdr on skies. but not excessive.
like i told xand, u dont need to go to spain for blue sky. cameron sky is blue enuf. but of course if u need spain babes, u gotta go there lah.
