The reason they gave you two dates (12 and 19 July) is because there are two celebrations (the first will be in KL while the second one will be in Penang). Hence the information is correct. The only problem is that you didn't specifically ask about the location for both dates. Anyway, KL's Bon Odori taikai falls on July 12th (Saturday) this year according to The Japan Club of Malaysia's website. The location will be Stadium Panasonic Sports Complex. But it's safe to assume that it falls on the Saturday after which is July 19th. Location will most probably be at Penang Esplanade field. Tips: Anyway, the easiest way I use to predict Bon Odori every year is to check and see which two Saturdays are the nearest to 15th July. tis yr's bon odori is 12th..nuf said!
