TJK911,alright.Try formatting your memory stick ON your PSP first.Make sure you backup all your important files first. If the same error still occurs, inform me and i'll show you how to upgrade to 3.52m33-4 manually. It is equally easy to be honest with you. smile.gif

Ok,here is the guide to upgrade your psp from an older custom firmware to 3.52m33-4.

1)Download this (3.52m33 files)
2)Download this (1.50 eboot)
3)Download this (3.52 eboot)

4)Extract the 3.52m33 files to your PC (Any directories.Desktop would be the best choice)
5)You should see a folder named M33CREATOR.
6)Copy the M33CREATOR folder to your psp ms0:/PSP/GAME150.
7)Now,copy the 150.PBP and the 352.PBP files,and paste it in the M33CREATOR folder. (150.pbp - download 2) (352.pbp - download 3)

8)Now,if done right,it should look like this - ms0:/PSP/GAME150/M33CREATOR/eboot.pbp,150.PBP and the 352.PBP file.
9)That's it for the upgrader files.
10)Exit USB mode,go to game and execute the installer.

*Battery needs to be above 75% for the installer to run.NEVER bypass the battery check*

Now,your psp firmware should read as "3.52m33"

Now,time for the easy part,the 3.52m33-4 patch.

1)Download this (3.52m33-4 patch)
2)Extract it to your desktop.
3)Open the PSP/GAME150 directory.
4)You should see the M33Update4 folder.
5)Copy the entire folder, and paste it in your ms0:/PSP/GAME150 directory on your memory stick.
6)Go to game, and execute the installer.
7)This update will take barely a few seconds.

If done right, your psp firmware should display as 3.52m33-4. biggrin.gif Cheers

Now that you've got 3.52m33-4,your psp is ready for the 4.01m33 upgrade.

Follow this guide of mine to help you upgrade your psp from 3.52m33-4 or anything higher to 4.01m33 without encountering any problems.

*This guide was done in a hurry (3.52m33-4 upgrade guide). You might find some 'typos' so just ignore it lah* tongue.gif

Yo Playboy! More problems! LOL

When I try to update to 4.01 (following your manual hehe) I get a funny message. I didn't re-format the whole memory card again though. When I run the update file, it says

Verifying 401.pbp OK
Verifying u235.prx OK

Some of your idstorage keys have not the correct values, probably due to a downgrader. In order to continue, press X to restore the correct values, press R to exit.

What should I do?

You can try formatting flash 1 in recovery mode.
Recovery mode = Hold the power switch for 3-5 seconds, then hold R and boot your psp up.Then go to advanced, and hit X at the very last option.

This most probably won't solve the Idstorage problem, but it's always worth a try before cleaning the keys.

Also, you psp most probably is a downgraded one (from either 2.71 or 2.80).The person who downgraded your psp most probably didn't clean the keys before downgrading as it's supposed to be.

Uh oh. PSP blank but has sound.

Edit: Oops. False alarm that got me panicking. The screen blanked but pressing the square icon at the bottom got it lit up again. After that I should try to update again right?

Not working, still the keys incorrect. How do I fix them?

Oh bro',sorry for the late reply.

Good luck mate biggrin.gif

Yeah can't. One single green light that lights up but no sound nothing. I think, it might be bricked... And I found tutorials on how to unbrick but I need another PSP, which I obviously don't have... OH F.

Damn it man.I'm really sorry but it really isn't my fault.Your psp idstorage keys must have been messed up real bad.I believe it's key 6.Not too sure though.

Now,time to unbrick it.Since you don't have access to a psp which already has custom firmware installed on it,you can only hardmod your battery to create a Pandora's Battery.

Do you want to proceed with the hardmodding process which involves cracking open your battery and cutting off a pin?
