Experience of a USM user also not bad. Streamyx users, try the proxy. It wouldn't bite

You will appreciate the value of Singapore proxy when your ISP's connection speed to Singapore is better, e.g. Streamyx, during congestion. This Singapore proxy is hosted in Equinix Singapore data centre which is used by TM for international traffic.

mamadox, if possible, please repost screenshots because both screenshots show Singapore IP.

Note : Testers, after you have entered/removed proxy IP in your browser configuration, please refrlesh speed test site so that the real IP is shown.

How to setup proxy for IE 7?



1. Go to Tools | Internet Options (upper right hand of IE)
2. Go to Connections tab
3. Select your Virtual Private Network settings, e.g. time for me. Click on Settings button
4. Enter proxy IP and port

Download Speed: 1299 kbps (162.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 403 kbps (50.4 KB/sec transfer rate)

bhaskar, thanks for testing. Singapore proxy will show it's value when ISP does not have sufficient capacity to support the subscribed rate.

Here is my speed test result using TM a few days ago.

The next target is to do some testing during nighttime, e.g. peak Internet usage period for retail ISPs.

I think Jaring users do not feel any difference using this Singapore proxy because of extra hops between Equinix Singapore data centre (location of this Singapore proxy) and Jaring network. Routing is done thru Tokyo See screenshot below:

i using proxy now with proxy i go Yahoo! Messenger sign in got problem and windows live got problem
without proxy i go Yahoo! Messenger sign in works windows live works all fine

bhaskar, can you find the prompt for proxy id and password (use alt-tab to find the prompt)? I have tried Yahoo Messenger 8.1.0.421. It is ok with proxy after you have entered proxy id and password.

1. Before signin, click on Messenger | Connection Preferences (top left corner of YM)
2. Enter proxy ip and port and click on 'OK' button on the same screen.
3. Then enter your Yahoo id and password on main YM screen.
4. The prompt for password will be shown after clicking on "Sign in"
5. Enter proxy id and password. Then you are 'in'.
