Hi guys, i just send my faulty Belkin All in one modem model 7632ak4a version 7000 back to OUG Belkin service centre just now and told jack the problem i facing "All lan port will be disable/not function after certain period /randomly" & causes not able to surf net.

He replace me 7634ak4a version 1000ak, (he told me many ppl want the 7632ak4a model back after swap to this unit 7634ak4a), however i told him i will give a try on 7634 since i know 7632 got lots of people complain having problem especially version 7000ak also asking him to email me the latest firmware just incase having problem
(ver :F5D7634-4v110A_WW_1.00.05T1)

Now at home, i was trying on 2 notebooks & 1 pc.... 2 using cable, 1 using wifi....
i was running ping command to the modem from all 3 units pc / nb

Ping Result :
Cable --- seems ok, no request time out
Wifi --- request time out message appear randomly.

Using 4+ hours plus already, one time disconnected from net.
and still with original firmware 1.00.04 (Aug 26 2008 18:04:36)

Hope it works fine, coz i might send it back to my customer at night..
and i try to avoid flash firmware coz scare more worst problem comes out.

will let you all know about the condition later before i send back to customer. sweat.gif

** by the way, i was planning to back to viewnet to add on money change another brand...but....
the unit i having now is not the unit show on the receipt.... i dun think they allow me to change it.
so...no choice...i gonna continue use this.... unsure.gif

If you're serious about changing, I'm sure you can ask Jack to tell the guys at Viewnet that he changed it, just ask him to give them confirmation, and it should be ok.

Cheers,
Kinson.

Hmmm might think of it hmm.gif later...

Now is 7+ hour test on the unit ... so far until now is ok..... just 1 dc since morning....
but the wifi signal seems like start unstable, from 5 bar drop to 3 , 2 .....3......2......3......2.....

Are pc , notebook and modem are remain at the same place since morning till now.
and also never turn off the modem since morning. However got restart the notebook which connect using wifi.
and now still remain 3 ...2....3.....2 ... signal bar.

Able to surf net normally. The Ping command to modem using notebook which connect using wifi is still show unstable....

While for machine connected using cable, so far so good.

Good luck to you guys. after i swapped the belkin 7634 with Level One WBR 3601, no more annoying disconnections. I wanted to swap a linksys but i find my friends's linksys (new model with no antena) have sucky wireless range. so i swap a Lvl One and the people at Sri Com even let me 'buy' other stuff with the price diff. Since Lvl One cheaper.

Newbie here,
What is the newest firmware for F5G7632ak4A?
Is it 7.00.28 (Apr 17 2009 14:51:06)?
Can I upgrade 7634 firmware on 7632 modem?

using F5D7634-4 too. and currently experiencing frequent disconnection and sometimes, modem hangs (like now lol).

i can access the internet (using ethernet) but i cant access my modem page. and i cant even use the wifi when it hangs. need to hard reset.

come on, i just use this thing not come to 1 week, and it gave me headache like im using more than 5 years?

lol.

my F5D7634 (Firmware v1.00.04 (Aug 26 2008 18:04:36)) ran flawlessly from 12pm to 1am.. no disconnection or restart. I do have a mini fan blowing at it ;-)
