If that is the case, you can RMA it without much problems. The good thing about Belkin is that I'm sure they'll help you sort things out smile.gif

Yes, definitely. Please bring along the router/modem and the power adapter, and if it's confirmed that it's spoilt, you'll get a 1-to-1 exchange. The number to call is posted above.

This means Belkin is more worth just for warranty..just that you need to go to their service center for 1-to-1 swap only..

Do they give brand new one or a refurbished unit as replacement ?

The warranty is one of the many reasons as to why I prefer to sell Belkin to my customers, and the flexibility that we can give our own stock to replace customers' faulty units.

They'll give you a need unit off the shelf, shrink wrapped etc. It's like buying a new unit. (as long as they have ex-stock).

Cheers.

since my last post...it seems problem comes again..good thing never last... lol..

got it from security log.mind u im using 7632 model too..

06/02/2009 15:11:53 192.168.2.2 login success
06/02/2009 15:11:53 Drop invalid PPPoE-Session packet coming before PADS.
06/02/2009 15:11:52 Drop invalid PPPoE-Session packet coming before PADS.
06/02/2009 15:11:49 Drop invalid PPPoE-Session packet coming before PADS.
............................... (paste only the first 4 lines.. please repeat it urself for another zillion times)....................................

and this is from my ADSL status

Operation Data Upstream Downstream
Noise Margin 44 dB 27 dB
Attenuation 8 dB --- dB

seems nothing to be highlighted here except that d*mn drop packets. my ol' DLink G604T dont have this problem before except fried to death due to lightning. My Aztech 1000E also works as it should. as im sensing this frequent PPOE drops packet definitely got something to do with my noticeable-slower connection than before. will try ckboon attached firmware and see if it correcting this madness packet.

--------
updates 1 (after updating the firmware)

minutes later.........
updated the firmware... Firmware Version 7.00.27T5 (Mar 27 2009 19:26:02)..
too early for any assumption.. will update the outcome later..

---------
updates 2 ( after almost 3/4 days without switching off the router and continous-connection -- torrent)

well.. in my case, updating the firmware didnt resolved the issue. no more drop invalid PPoE-msg, but another pick up the baton -

06/03/2009 12:53:27 PPPoE send PADT
06/03/2009 12:53:27 Send PADT in response to invalid PPPoE-Session packet.

hmm...all in all, im still experiencing halt-and-go connection.. something like if you stop at traffic light.wait wait wait and once the green light is on, you go. put that into internet connection term.lol.. if i cant find any definite solution for this, RMA is the only viable answer. sigh. any idea?

Are other computers able to get an ip from it? e.g. 192.168.2.x or something. Or just limited to your pc?

Cheers.

Tried it with my PC & laptop.
Also tried reset the modem/router (pushed the small button at back).

Please make sure you do a "hard reset" (as I call it) rather than a "soft reset". A hard reset means you press and hold the reset button for a few minutes (with the power/electric) on, and you'll see the lights blink and change a bit after that.

If after doing that, you still have a problem, I'd suggest you take the router (and the power adapter) to the reseller you bought it from, or even better, directly to the service center.

Feel free to post here if you have problems doing either.

Cheers.

I don't have ex-stock for the replacement of that, but you can pass it to me, and I'll get it swapped for you in a day or two, no charge smile.gif Hope this helps smile.gif

I have Belkin Wireless G Modem Router, Belkin Wireless G USB Adapter and D-Link DW-110 Wireless G USB Adapter.

My Belkin Wireless G Modem Router is setup properly with Streamyx, using wired LAN to connect to my notebook. For my desktop which is further away, I tried using both Belkin and D-Link USB Adapters.

With D-Link USB adapter, I have no problem connecting wireless to the Belkin Modem Router for Streamyx/Internet, even downloading programs. However, with Belkin USB adapter, I can't connect to the Belkin Modem Router although the Belkin connection wizard is showing strong wireless signal. I have "Safely Remove" D-Link USB before plugging in Belkin USB, so the problem is not plugging 2 USB adapters at the same time.

What should be the main issue or problem here?
