hi there.. have u guys try dual boot? I wanted to dual boot xp and vista.. xp for my assignments.. where can get the drivers? dell website??

btw, i just run the performance test on dmc 4.. full setting with 1200 X 800 full resolution, everything super high.. rank D.. T.T

the software u use for ur assignment cannot use in vista???? what software are u using........... i tried dualboot with "Virtual PC" software before just for fun....... all my software are capable to run in vista.... including multisim, modelsim, xilinx ISE webpack

dont think u can play with 1280x800 (unless u overclock it heavily).... ur character movement will be slow motion... it wont be shown in performance test.. u have to play it and feel it.....

anyone knows where can i find someone or place that can install the screen protector perfectly? last time i bought the raytech brand lcd protector...tried to install it but it ended up in the dustbin...huh....never know it was really hard...the hardest part is to control the bubble from forming and the dust are killing me!!! (thinking about doing it again since the CS called today saying that they will change my lcd, i did asked for LG lcd and they say will put it if they got stock, dont know what that should mean...)

okok...jz joking...but the position of R and L on a qwerty keyboard is kinda far for mistake...

will there be any changes?? AFAIK, our lappies are using PC5300 only.

nop, it wont have any changes, infact ours is santa rosa platform, so the highest we can go is DDR2 667!

when i play at 1200 X 800 resolution.. there won be any lag except some cacat when CG movie (a bit oni).. i try again on 1024 X 768 later..
my LCD i think is philip de according to the guide..

edited: just try change the resolution to 1024 X 768.. still rank D .. T.T sakit hati

hye guys...im new here....i just got my xps bout 2 months ago....but now,i have a big problem...2 days ago,i surf d net like usually...suddenly sumthing just come out on my screen and sumthing that called 'Security Toolbar 7.1' suddenly installed in my xps.I search bout that thing and it is a virus! A really2 dangrous virus....please sumone can help me or tell me how to remove that damn thing...it makes me crazy....damn this spyware!!!!!

try update your windows and anti-virus definition.

or you can also try SUPERAntiSpyware

if still cannot fix, i think you have to reformat your laptop.

WELL， actually my experience kena infected by virus/Critical spyware... is quite alot... (but not in my xps..just got my xps,however, it doesnt matter)

7/10 virus u kena(WHICH IS HIONG 1.. KEEP KACAU KACAU 1)....probably is no cure 1..... or mayb can kill half-half....or kill le make ur system cacat..keep pop-up got missing .dll

BTW, u still hv the McAfee that pre-installed by dell??? as i hv tried google for ur and there's a thread said that his McAfee help it removed...so give it a try and better hv preparation to reformat ur laptop..


If McAfee doesn't help, try this for ur last -- 360安全卫士..it is china's software..but it is one of the best that developed by china dude....
