Dell recovery partition may activate via press F8 when booting computer if you're using vista.
once you make any changes of hdd paritition, the dell media direct function & Dell recovery partition will be affected.
if you still need the Dell recovery partition, better don't change or partition your c drive.

be default, bluetooth and wireless are on/off together but we can customize the control either 1 by quickset/bios or manually disable in windows network connection.

It can be done but I don't know how. It's not easy. Like mentioned, Media Direct will have problem. Luckily my friend did it for me and everything fine.

the Dell CDs you have is not recovery disc. is original installation disc.
the Dell Recovery partition is actually like Norton Ghost. clone the original manufacture image back when you run it.
Somehow, the image full of bloatware. personally not recommended, unless you not willing spend time to manual standard reformat. then the Dell Recovery partition are save ur time to recovery in few minutes only.

ermm...u can tell them u're leaving to study soon and request them to send to you faster like wat rogue said

about the dell recovery partition...i jz delete it...i even remove the media direct application...now i hav 2 partition on my HDD..one for OS another one for my files

I did a clean install and have the image saved in my external HDD..so next time wan to reformat can restore image with all the necessary software such as office..dun hav to reinstall one by one...

@spy008
Serve you right for being lazy to read how to update driver...
These kind of stuff requires some reading unless u're updating the driver dloaded straight from Dell's website...
All i can say now is go n read up and don't be lazy anymore

Just wanna ask, will xps m1530 comes with anti glare screen anytime in the near future? As far as I know, xps has really annoying reflection, even when used indoor. Unless you lock yourself in a room, switch off all the light, and roll down the blinds, then you'll get less reflection..

My friend has one so yeah. It has rather good spec for that price range. But screen is too reflective, maybe suitable for those ppl that has to adjust their hair every 15minutes, but not for me, it annoys me.

So.. any one knows?

new model are coming soon. therefore don't think so will have new screen offer for this model. all screen offered now are Dell TrueLife only.

Usually entertainment system are design with Truelife screen only as better for Movie or entertainment.
for those working unit model for business usually still offer option for non-truelife screen such as Latitude, etc.....
